摘要

Recently, materials derived from metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have garnered increasing attention owing to their exceptional gas-sensing performance. In this study, hollow ship-like α-Fe 2 O 3 with oxygen vacancy defects and thin shells were successfully synthesized via a simple calcination method using MIL-88A (Fe) as a precursor. Characterization results revealed that the α-Fe 2 O 3 exhibited a porous structure composed of nanoparticles featuring a rough surface. Notably, under the optimum operating temperature of 180 °C, the sensor based on α-Fe 2 O 3 demonstrated remarkable performance in detecting triethylamine gas (TEA), exhibiting an ultra-high response (527 at 50 ppm), rapid response/recovery times (20/8 s at 2 ppm), and excellent selectivity. These outstanding TEA-sensing properties are primarily attributed to the unique morphologic structures and suitable defects, suggesting that this research will facilitate the efficient and rapid development of high-performance gas sensors for TEA.
