摘要
Efficiently removing both CH 3 I and I 2 from radioactive exhaust streams remains a challeng. In this study, we successfully synthesized a bismuth-based organic ionic polymers (Bi@OIP) embedded with palladium, designed for the co-adsorption of CH 3 I and I 2 . The Bi@OIP material demonstrates high uptake capacities of 2257.7 mg g −1 for iodine vapor and 390.0 mg g −1 for methyl iodide. Palladium embedded within the polymer matrix catalyzes the reaction between CH 3 I and Bi, leading to the formation of BiI 3 , thus overcoming the inertness of traditional bismuth-based adsorbents toward methyl iodide. This bismuth-palladium synergistic effect significantly enhances the co-removal capabilities for both iodine and methyl iodide, positioning Bi@OIP as a promising candidate for the efficient capture of radioiodine and methyl iodide from exhaust gases.
