摘要
Uric acid (UA) levels within the human body are intricately associated with a variety of diseases, underscoring the critical need for a reliable and sensitive method for UA detection to facilitate disease prevention and early diagnosis. This paper presents a novel microsensor designed to address this method. The sensor employs an alumina-based inorganic molecular-imprinted polymer (MIP) that specifically encapsulates uric acid molecules. This MIP is electropolymerized onto multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) anchored on a microelectrode (ANE), forming a highly sensitive platform for UA detection. The sensor’s performance was meticulously characterized using electrochemical analysis, high-resolution scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and elemental mapping techniques. Our findings reveal that the imprinted samples demonstrate significantly enhanced adsorption capacity and selectivity compared to their non-imprinted counterparts. This superior performance is attributed to the synergistic effects of chemical interactions between the target UA molecules and the precisely tailored imprinted cavities, as well as the precise size matching between the cavities and the target molecules. Additionally, the inorganic molecular-imprinted polymer membrane also addresses the instability issues associated with traditional organic molecular-imprinted layers. The sensor’s specificity is further validated by the preparation of distinct recognition sites within the electropolymerized molecular imprinting layer. Under the optimized conditions, the sensor exhibits a linear increase in peak current with UA concentration ranging from 0.5 to 500 μM, with an impressive detection limit of 0.11 μM. Moreover, the developed sensor shows promising potential for the analysis of UA levels in human serum and urine samples, thereby paving the way for broader applications in clinical diagnostics and personalized medicine.
