摘要
X-rays hold broad application prospects across diverse domains. However, improper utilization poses a security risk to human safety. Recently, radiochromic materials have emerged as promising candidates for the detection and imaging of X-ray radiation. Herein, a novel material, La 2 MgZrO 6 :Pr 3+ , was developed that exhibits reversible photochromic induced by X-ray irradiation. When the material is irradiated with an X-ray, the color of the material changes from white to brown ( ΔR ≈ 32 %), and this color can be rapidly reversed when illuminated with a 450 nm blue lamp. Meantime, the radiation dose (0–120 Gy) can be initially determined according to the color depth of the material, and the dose can be accurately measured by thermoluminescence. Furthermore, a lab-made X-ray imaging system is designed, which can be used for both bright field and dark field dual-mode X-ray imaging with considerable resolution (∼4.5 lp mm −1 ). These findings could revolutionize the next generation of X-ray detection materials and devices, and drive progress in this field.
