摘要

Graphene oxide (GO) is a widely utilized functional anticorrosive material, whereas the presence of numerous oxygen functional groups on its surface tends to cause agglomeration, leading to decrease in anticorrosive properties. In this study, we designed a modification method by using dopamine and nano-TiO 2 to simultaneously enhance the corrosion resistance and thermal stability of GO. The Tafel curves and EIS tests demonstrate that GO modified with dopamine and nano-TiO 2 exhibits superior corrosion resistance. This can be attributed to the adhesive polydopamine formed through the self-polymerization of dopamine, which wraps around the surface of GO, resulting in better dispersion and uniformity of nano-TiO 2 . Additionally, TiO 2 serving as a passivation film enhances the barrier properties of the material. Furthermore, dopamine and nano-TiO 2 effectively cover the C O groups on GO surface, significantly improving its corrosion resistance. Besides, the thermal stability of GO is enhanced due to nano-TiO 2 possessing excellent thermal stability. The enhancement in both corrosion resistance and thermal stability of GO through dopamine and nano-TiO 2 modification is closely related to the amount of added nano-TiO 2 . This work provides valuable insights for simultaneously enhancing both thermal stability and corrosion resistance of GO.
