摘要
The rare-earth down-shifting (Sr,Ba) 2 SiO 4 :Eu 2+ (SBSE) material can convert ultraviolet light into visible light, reduce the damage caused by ultraviolet light to solar cells, and improve the efficiency of solar cells. In this study, by mixing the rare-earth down-shifting (Sr,Ba) 2 SiO 4 :Eu 2+ material with ethylene vinyl acetate and encapsulating solar cells, the competitive relationship between light conversion and scattering by rare-earth down-shifting materials in ethylene vinyl acetate and its effect on solar cell power were revealed. And its reliability was verified through experiments. The experimental results showed that the dominant factor influencing the optical properties of ethylene vinyl acetate changes with SBSE concentration. At concentrations of 0.25–0.5 wt%, the scattering of light by SBSE is dominant. At concentrations of 0.5–1 wt%, the down-shifting conversion of light by SBSE is dominant. When the concentration of SBSE increases to 1.5 wt% concentration, SBSE agglomerates, and the scattering of light by SBSE is dominant once again. Photovoltaic modules were fabricated for external quantum efficiency (EQE) and electrical property tests. The photovoltaic module EQE was affected by the changes in the optical properties of the SBSE-EVA. The performance of the photovoltaic modules prepared using SBSE materials first worsened, then improved, and then worsened again with increasing SBSE concentration. Among the tested conditions, 1 wt% was the best SBSE concentration, resulting in an EQE improvement of 2.916 %. The maximum power, short-circuit current, open-circuit voltage, and fill factor of the SBSE module increased by 1.82 %, 2.044 %, 1.791 %, and 0.069 %, respectively.
