摘要
This study investigated the synergistic effects of three-dimensional lattice structures and zeolite Y coatings on CO 2 adsorption. Three different lattice geometries (simple cubic, octet, and Weaire-Phelan) were fabricated using fused deposition modeling (FDM) with varying unit cell thicknesses. Six candidate materials were evaluated for CO 2 adsorption capacity, with zeolite powder exhibiting the highest performance at 77.46 cm 3 /g STP. The selected zeolite powder was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and nitrogen (N 2 ) adsorption-desorption analysis, revealing a Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area of 616.31 m 2 /g with 99.9% micropore contribution. XRD and FTIR analyses confirmed the Y-type zeolite structure with a Si/Al ratio of 1.3. Surface area analysis showed that the octet and Weaire-Phelan structures achieved maximum values of 18,816 mm 2 and 19,088 mm 2 , respectively, at a 2 mm unit cell thickness, representing a three-fold increase compared to that of a solid cube. CO 2 adsorption experiments demonstrated that the Weaire-Phelan structure exhibited the highest adsorption capacity (0.061 g CO 2 /g structure), followed by the octet and simple cubic structures. The 73% desorption efficiency confirmed physisorption-dominated mechanisms suitable for pressure-swing adsorption (PSA) processes. The results established a direct correlation between coating amount and adsorption performance, with lattice geometry playing a critical role in determining coating efficiency even at similar surface areas.
