摘要
Heavy metal pollution in water environments has emerged as a critical global concern, posing severe threats to ecological security and human health. Although laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) provides an effective means for elemental detection, matrix interferences caused by liquid vaporization, splashing, and surface oscillation have hindered its application in liquid-phase analysis. To address the challenges, this study developed a novel method for rapid cadmium detection using EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid)-modified glass fiber membrane-assisted LIBS. Through systematic evaluation of signal enhancement effect and quantitative detection performance, the glass fiber membrane demonstrated optimal suitability as a cadmium adsorption substrate for LIBS, attributable to its notable adsorption-excitation synergistic effect ( R² > 0.9211). EDTA was used to modify the fiber membranes, and calibration curves for LIBS-EDTA-fiber membrane method were established. The results indicated that EDTA modification contributed to enhanced cadmium detection capability, with the EDTA-glass fiber membrane exhibiting excellent performance at Cd II 226.50 nm line ( R² = 0.9443, LOD = 1.28 mg/L), which fully verifies the promise of EDTA-modified membranes as effective adsorption substrates. Additionally, the key parameters of adsorption pretreatment were optimized, with recommended combination determined as follows: pH 5.0–7.0, adsorption time 10–15 min, and drying time 30–40 min, which collectively balance the intensity and stability of spectral signals. LIBS-EDTA-glass fiber membrane method effectively mitigates the matrix interference of LIBS detection through an integrated strategy of efficient Cd²⁺ enrichment and aqueous phase separation. With advantages of rapidity, accuracy, and cost-effective, it provides reliable technical support for on-site monitoring of cadmium pollution in water.
