摘要
The synthesis of magnetic porous carbon nanocomposites derived from a nickel-based metal-organic framework (Ni-MOF) via a simple solvothermal approach is reported herein. The potential of these materials for the adsorption of methyl blue (MB) dye was investigated. The physicochemical properties of the Ni-MOF-C materials were comprehensively characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS), N 2 adsorption/desorption isotherms, and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). At a carbonization temperature of 550 ∘ C, Ni-MOF-C exhibited a maximum specific surface area of 162.17 m 2 /g and saturation magnetization of 32.27 emu/g. The material was employed for the physical adsorption of Coomassie methylene blue dye, with adsorption influenced by pH, initial dye concentration, contact time, and temperature. Under optimized conditions, including a feed pH of 10, an initial dye concentration of 1000 mg/L, a contact time of 60 min, and a temperature of 55 ∘ C, Ni-MOF-C-550 ∘ C demonstrated its highest MB dye adsorption capacity. Furthermore, the observed adsorption behavior was effectively described by both the Freundlich isothermal adsorption model and the quasi-second-order kinetic model.
