摘要
Conducting polymer coatings have unique property and performance allowing potential application in various fields. In this article, we fabricated a nanostructured polypyrrole (PPy) coating on biomedical titanium via template-free electrochemical polymerization in a phosphate buffer solution (PBS). Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were utilized to observe the morphology of nanostructured PPy coatings. Raman spectra and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were employed to characterize the molecular structure and element composition of the obtained product. The results showed that conducting PPy coatings of high roughness, with aligned nanofibrous structure and inner diameter of 20 ± 5 nm, have been successfully fabricated on titanium. Moreover, the morphology of nanostructured PPy coatings could be regulated with the reaction time varying.
