摘要

MoS 2 as cathode materials of aluminum ion batteries can significantly improve the specific discharge capacity in the initial cycles. However, it electrical conductivity is poor and has strong interactions with higher charge density of Al 3+ cations. So MoS 2 cathode material suffers from rapid specific capacity decaying, which prevents the further development for aluminum ion batteries. Herein, a new phase engineering strategy is demonstrated for making MoS 2 -RGO (Reduced graphene oxide) composites for boosting the performance of aluminum ion batteries. Because the structure of MoS 2 is analogous to graphene, it can be used as a novel substrate for the growth of MoS 2 , which can increase the contact area of graphene and MoS 2 with forming perfect interlayer-overlapped composites. The Al/MoS 2 -RGO battery has a specific discharge capacity of 278.1 mAh/g in the initial cycles, and still maintains 150.2 mAh/g after 100 cycles.
