摘要

In this work, a novel glucose sensor based on Poly-(dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride) (PDDA) functionalized graphene decorated with cupric oxide (CuO) nanoparticles has been developed. The nanocomposite modified electrode exhibited excellent sensitivity and stability toward oxidation of glucose owing to the synergistic effects of highly electrocatalytic CuO and remarkably electron conductive PDDA-graphene. The composition of PDDA-graphene was confirmed by FT-IR spectrum. The morphology of the nanocomposites was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The electrochemical performance of the PDDA-graphene/CuO electrode for glucose measurement was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry. The sensor presented a high sensitivity of 4982.2   μA   mM −1   cm −2 over 0.4–4000   μM glucose concentration range at +0.58   V with a detection limit of 0.20   μM. Most importantly, the sensor is highly stable for a long time without current attenuation and is simply fabricated without any binder. The sensor can also be utilized for quantification of glucose concentration in serum samples. The proposed sensor offers an alternative for glucose analysis with high sensitivity, good stability and fast response time.
