摘要

Background Epoxy coatings usually have cavities and defects, leading to their anticorrosion properties reduced significantly. The purpose of this paper is to improve the hydrophobic properties of epoxy coatings to obtain good corrosion resistance. Methods A superhydrophobic hybrid epoxy coating (SHEP) with excellent anticorrosive performance was prepared by the combination of internal modification of mesoporous molecular sieve loaded with triazine corrosion inhibitor and external superhydrophobic surface modification. The surface topography, wettability, and anticorrosion efficiency for prepared coating have been analyzed through scanning electron microscopy measurement (SEM), atomic force microscopy measurement (AFM), contact angle test, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurement (EIS). Significant findings The water contact angle of SHEP coating is 169.3°, and the roll angle is less than 1°. The surface of SHEP remains superhydrophobic after immersing in strong acidic or alkaline solution for 6 h. Compared with pure epoxy resin coating (EP), the |Z| 0.01 Hz of SHEP is bigger than two orders of magnitude, demonstrating good corrosion resistance.
