Preparation of coral-like Ag2MoO4–TiO2 heterostructure and its photocatalytic properties

In this work, TiO 2 nanofibers were prepared by combining electrospinning with an impregnation calcination technique. Ag 2 MoO 4 nanoparticles at various concentrations were successfully deposited onto the surface of the nanofibers by hydrothermal synthesis method . Photocatalytic activities of samples for methyl orange degradation were investigated. The results indicate that Ag 2 MoO 4 –TiO 2 nanofibers could efficiently degrade methyl orange upon the irradiation with UV-light, showing a greater photocatalytic activity than the pure titanium dioxide.
