摘要
Efficient and environmentally friendly solutions to water pollution remain a global challenge. Traditional heterogeneous Fenton systems are constrained by low reaction efficiency and severe non-productive decomposition of H 2 O 2 . In this study, the environmentally friendly ligand N-(2-acetamido)iminodiacetic acid (ADA) is introduced for the first time into the Ce 0.2 La 0.8 FeO 3 (CLFO) Fenton system. With ADA regulation, the degradation efficiency of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in the CLFO+ADA system reaches 96.1%, with the reaction rate constant increasing 19.0-fold compared to the CLFO system. ADA regulation enhances the effective utilization of H 2 O 2 to generate •OH by 20.7-fold, resulting in a 92.6-fold increase in •OH yield during the initial stage and maintaining high catalytic activity over a wide pH range (3.0–9.0). ADA addition markedly promotes Fe 2+ /Fe 3+ and Ce 3+ /Ce 4+ cycling, improving both the efficiency and stability of CLFO, with the system retaining high performance after five cycles. Mechanistic investigations reveal that ADA adsorption on the CLFO surface regulates the surface charge and reduces the energy barrier for conversion of adsorbed *OH to •OH during H 2 O 2 decomposition, thus markedly promoting •OH generation and improving H 2 O 2 utilization. The innovative application of ADA ligand regulation in Fenton-like systems may provide new insights for developing efficient and green water-pollution treatment technologies
