摘要
Fruits and vegetables are highly susceptible to quality degradation, resulting in substantial economic losses. In this study, an edible γ-CD-MOF was prepared using an ultrasound-assisted method and employed as a carrier for oregano essential oil (OEO) to fabricate OEO@CD-MOF nanoparticles. These nanoparticles were subsequently incorporated into zein protein to develop a Zein-OEO@CD-MOF composite film. The incorporation of 5% OEO@CD-MOF into the zein matrix significantly enhanced the composite film's mechanical properties, ultraviolet resistance, water vapor barrier, and antioxidant property. Furthermore, the Zein-OEO@CD-MOF composite film was applied for the preservation of strawberries, cherry tomatoes, and blueberries. Results demonstrated that the composite film effectively mitigated nutrient loss in the fruits, thereby significantly extending their shelf life. Therefore, the Zein-OEO@CD-MOF composite film represents a sustainable and efficient active packaging material with substantial potential for practical applications in food preservation.
