摘要
The MnFe₂O₄@CeO₂/PAA system could achieve 97.3% TC within 30 min. • The ROS of CH₃C( O )OO• was dominated in TC degradation. • The doping of CeO 2 could improve the ion leaching rate and enhance catalytic performance. • Relatively better anti-interference capability of this system To addresses the problem of agglomeration and enhance the catalytic performance of MnFe 2 O 4 , the catalyst with MnFe 2 O 4 nanoparticles comparatively evenly dispersed and embedded on the CeO 2 nanosheets (MnFe 2 O 4 @CeO 2 ) was synthesized via a one-step low-temperature co-precipitation route. Then the prepared MnFe 2 O 4 @CeO 2 was employed to constitute PAA activation (MnFe 2 O 4 @CeO 2 /PAA) system for the TC degradation. The morphology, structure, and properties of MnFe 2 O 4 @CeO 2 have been explored and TC degradation experiments have been conducted. Under the optimized conditions, TC could achieve 97.3% degradation efficiency (reaction rate constant k = 0.1238 min −1 ) and 66.4% TOC removal within 30 min. Reactive oxygen species (ROS), including hydroxyl radical (•OH), singlet oxygen ( 1 O 2 ), and acetylperoxyl radical (CH 3 C( O )OO•), were identified and involved in the TC degradation, while CH 3 C( O )OO• was verified to play the most important role. The introduction of CeO 2 could accelerate electron transfer and decrease the leaching concentration of Fe and Mn. In addition, few intermediates toxicity, relative strong anti-interference ability among various anions and multitudinous water matrixes, low leaching ions, great reusability, excellent degradation performance towards other organic pollutants exhibited the prospect potential application of this MnFe 2 O 4 @CeO 2 /PAA system. Overall, this study provides a referential significance of PAA activation system involved in the remediation of organic pollutants.
