摘要
CNSeCNC was designed as cathode for aluminum batteries. • The CNSeCNC cathode exhibits superior electrochemical performance. • Dual-carbon modification and interface design strategies enhanced the performance. A porous CoSe 2 /NiSe 2 @C@NC cubic nanobox composite material is designed as a cathode material for aluminum batteries. This composite material consists of CoSe 2 /NiSe 2 anchored onto a three-dimensional porous carbon framework forming the core, and is coated with a nitrogen-doped carbon layer on its outer shell. The CNSeCNC cathode has an initial discharge capacity of 356 mAh/g and exhibits excellent capacity retention, retaining 217 mAh/g after 200 cycles. The Coulombic efficiency approaches 100% during prolonged cycling. Even at a high current density of 2.0 A/g, the material still maintains a capacity of 100 mAh/g. The CoSe 2 /NiSe 2 heterojunction generates interfacial lattice distortion that promotes efficient ion transfer. Meanwhile, the internal carbon network, external carbon coating and N-doping significantly boost electronic conductivity. Additionally, the carbon coating layer mitigates framework collapse and aggregation, ensuring superior structural stability throughout cycling. Owing to the improvements introduced through the double-carbon modification, CNSeCNC exhibits remarkable electrochemical performance as a cathode for ABs.
