摘要
The elemental doping strategy was widely adopted to improve the ion transport of lanthanum silicate apatites (La 9.33 Si 6 O 26 , LSO), a very promising electrolyte for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Specifically, La 9.33 Si 5.5 (Ga 1/2 V 1/2 ) 0.5 O 26 , i.e., LSGV 0.5 is obtained through (Ga 1/2 V 1/2 ) 4+ doping, which leads to not only a 4-fold oxygen ion conductivity (15.8 mS/cm at 800 °C) improvement, but also a 150 °C reduced sintering temperature compared with that of LSO. The as-such fabricated SOFC achieves a peak power density of 0.357 W/cm 2 at 800 °C using LSGV 0.5 as the electrolyte, demonstrating the effective complex ion doping towards enhanced performance for apatite-based electrolytes.
