摘要
Developing high-performance anodes is pivotal for advancing the large-scale application of sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). Fe 2 TiO 5 is regarded as a promising anode candidate for SIBs owing to its unique crystal structure and high theoretical capacity. However, its electrochemical behavior in SIBs remains unexplored. In this work, Fe 2 TiO 5 nanoparticles are prepared via a facile sol-gel method, and their electrochemical performance is evaluated. Pure Fe 2 TiO 5 material is obtained at calcination temperature over 700 °C. The Fe 2 TiO 5 calcined at 700 °C has particle size in the range of 20–200 nm, and delivers a higher discharge capacity of 825.2 mAh g −1 and charge capacity of 243.0 mAh g −1 at 10 mA g −1 . The charge capacity of Fe 2 TiO 5 decreases with increasing the calcination temperature. Furthermore, the sodium storage mechanism of Fe 2 TiO 5 is preliminarily explored, which involves conversion reactions. These findings demonstrate the feasibility of Fe 2 TiO 5 as anode for sodium-ion batteries.
