摘要
Stenting is a common and effective therapeutic strategy for atherosclerosis. However, a series of adverse reactions can occur after stent implantation, such as inflammation, vascular smooth muscle cells (SMCs) proliferation, and delayed endothelial repair, all of which are closely related to the oxidative stress microenvironment. Here, we propose a method for the copolymerization of copper porphyrin (CuTPPS) with dopamine (DA) that can easily produce a catalytic antioxidant coating on the stent surface. By rapidly decomposing H 2 O 2 , the optimized Cu10 coating reduced the level of intracellular oxidative stress and protected Endothelial cells (ECs) from H 2 O 2 damage. The Cu10 coating has been demonstrated to have superior anticoagulation and anti-inflammatory properties, promoting the transition of SMCs from the synthetic to contractile type, thereby inhibiting intimal hyperplasia. Hence, this catalytic antioxidant surface is an effective solution for the complications of stents and other vascular-implanted devices.
