摘要
Conventional polymer stabilized cholesteric liquid crystal (PSCLC) smart windows often exhibit a high degree of global synchronicity and modulation mode singularity in spectral evolution. Here, a bilayer dual-band reflective PSCLC device that enables a four-stage optical modulation and independent regulation of specific infrared wavebands under varying driving voltages is reported. Infrared shielding and electro-optical responsiveness are ensured by optimizing the thiol crosslinker TMPMP content and integrating an electrospun mat loaded with infrared-absorbing Cs 0.33 WO 3 nanoparticles. Building upon the established foundational performance, a partially driven layer and a fully driven layer with distinct driving voltages are constructed and ultimately integrated into a bilayer device. The fabricated device features dual-band selective reflection at 980 nm and 1450 nm, and the synergistic superposition of distinct optical states from the two individual layers under gradient voltages macroscopically demonstrates a non-monotonic, four-level optical response. Notably, the 1450 nm reflection band can be independently switched under applied voltages, completely without interfering with the reflection state at 980 nm. The multi-level and independent optical control capabilities of the integrated device provide a versatile paradigm for advanced dynamic thermal management in next-generation smart windows.
