摘要
A copper-based catalyst was prepared via the impregnation method using alumina as the support and subsequently modified by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma. The modified copper-based catalyst achieved acetylene conversion of 94% and acetaldehyde selectivity of 78% after 8 h of reaction and maintained high levels of conversion, selectivity, and stability over 15 h of continuous reaction. The experimental results demonstrate that the DBD plasma-modified catalyst exhibits a promotional effect on the acetylene hydration reaction compared to the high-temperature calcined catalyst. X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TG), transmission electron microscopy, and inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry analyses indicate that compared to the conventionally high-temperature calcined catalyst, DBD plasma modification of catalyst enhances anti-reduction capability of the active copper species, effectively suppresses copper loss and carbon deposits, due to the strong interaction between the Al 2 O 3 and Cu species, thereby significantly improving catalytic performance. Graphical Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma modification of Cu-G/Al 2 O 3 catalysts is developed for acetylene hydration. Compared with conventional high-temperature calcination, DBD plasma markedly strengthens metal–support interaction, which effectively suppresses Cu 2+ reduction, carbon deposition, and copper leaching. Consequently, the DBD-modified catalyst delivers superior performance, with 94% acetylene conversion and 78% acetaldehyde selectivity after 8 h, and significantly longer stability over 30 h, unequivocally outperforming the calcined catalyst.
