摘要
Monolithic inverse catalysts were fabricated by optimizing treatment conditions. • O V generation could be significantly promoted by optimizing inverse structure. • Alternating magnetic field could enhance charge transfer across inverse interface. • Magnetocatalytic oxidation required lower temperatures than traditional heating. • Magnetocatalytic purification encompassed demands of intermittent VOCs source. Catalytic oxidation is widely employed in volatile organic compounds (VOCs) degradation. The continuous optimization of catalytic oxidation technology encompasses the materials design and heat sources innovations. Herein, we found that adjusting the temperature and H 2 treatment could regulate inverse structure of CoO x /Ni foam (CoO x /NF) monolithic catalysts, resulting in enhancement of oxygen vacancies generation. This promotional effect could be further amplified by electromagnetic induction heating (EMIH), which was probably ascribed to the acceleration of charge transfer across the inverse interface induced by alternating magnetic field. Consequently, CoO x /NF-300R, as an inverse catalyst synthesized under optimized conditions, could exhibit superior activity for catalytic oxidation of VOCs including benzene, toluene and o -xylene. The demanded temperature for removal of toluene in EMIH mode was reduced by approximately 50°C compared to that in traditional heating mode. Furthermore, the VOCs catalytic oxidation system composed of CoO x /NF-300R and electromagnetic induction could meet the requirements for rapid and efficient purification of multi-species and intermittent pollution sources.
