摘要
Seawater electrolysis holds great promise for green hydrogen production, yet chloride ions in seawater can trigger competing chlorine chemistry, generating corrosive substances that degrade anodic performance. In this work, we report an amorphous F-doped NiFeP catalyst grown in situ on nickel foam (F-NiFeP/NF) for durable alkaline seawater oxidation. F-NiFeP/NF requires an overpotential of only 353 mV to achieve a current density of 1000 mA cm −2 and operates stably for 1000 h in alkaline seawater. F doping not only accelerates catalyst surface reconstruction processes but also favors the selective adsorption of OH − on the anode surface. Furthermore, an anion exchange membrane electrolyzer assembled with F-NiFeP/NF as the anode and Pt/C/NF as the cathode runs stably at 500 mA cm −2 for 450 h, demonstrating its potential for practical seawater electrolysis.
