摘要
Crosslinking modification of polymer emulsions is an effective approach to suppress swelling and improve coating durability. In this study, an epoxy-functional silane oligomer crosslinker (PGOPTS) was synthesized via a silane hydrolysis–condensation route using γ-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyltrimethoxysilane (GOPTS) as the monomer. A styrene–acrylate latex (SAL) crosslinked by PGOPTS was used, and the process variables were optimized using response surface methodology. Under the optimal conditions of 80.8°C reaction temperature, 0.58 wt% PGOPTS content, and 6.84 mol% tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB), the modified latex film exhibited a 35.70% reduction in water absorption and a 13.4° increase in water contact angle, indicating improved water resistance. The modified latex was further applied to polymer cement waterproof coatings. Silanol self-condensation and reactions with cement hydration products promoted the formation of an organic–inorganic co-crosslinked network. The resulting coating exhibited a 30.61% reduction in water absorption, a 14.2° increase in contact angle, and enhanced durability. This work demonstrates a practical crosslinking strategy for durable polymer cement waterproof coatings.
