摘要
BiOBr/ZnFe 2 O 4 couples visible-light bisphenol S (BPS) removal with magnetic recovery. • BPS removal at 60 min ranged from 69.2% to 99.0% across four spiked water matrices. • Scavenger and probe tests support oxygen-dependent and radical-mediated oxidation. • BPS removal remained at 95% in the fifth cycle after methanol regeneration. • Residual acute toxicity persisted after near-complete parent BPS removal. Bisphenol S (BPS) removal was investigated using a magnetically recoverable BiOBr/ZnFe 2 O 4 composite under visible-light irradiation. Among four nominal feed mass ratios, ZnFe 2 O 4 :BiOBr = 1:4 gave the highest activity, achieving 97.1% BPS removal within 40 min at a catalyst dose of 1.0 g L −1 and an initial BPS concentration of 5 mg L −1 . Its apparent rate constant of 0.091 min −1 was approximately 2.0 and 14.2 times those of pristine BiOBr and ZnFe 2 O 4 , respectively. The composite exhibited a saturation magnetisation of 28.8 emu g −1 , with visible magnetic clarification by 30 s. Removal at 60 min decreased from 99% to 95% over five cycles involving methanol washing without catalyst replenishment, while the principal crystalline phases were retained. Scavenger responses and terephthalic-acid probe fluorescence supported oxygen-dependent and radical-mediated oxidation. Across four BPS-spiked water matrices, 60-min removal ranged from 99.0% in distilled water to 69.2% in wastewater-treatment-plant effluent. Aliivibrio fischeri luminescence inhibition rose from 13.32 ± 1.17% initially to a highest sampled mean of 31.37 ± 2.70% at 20 min and declined to 22.39 ± 1.36% at 90 min (mean ± standard deviation, n = 3), showing persistent residual acute toxicity despite parent-compound removal. The results demonstrate the combined benefits of visible-light activity and magnetic recoverability, while identifying water-matrix inhibition and residual toxicity as constraints on further process development.
