摘要

Phosphorus regulation tunes the electronic environment of g-C 3 N 4 nanotubes. • P-assisted interfacial interaction enhances MoO 3 /PCNNTs charge transport. • MoO 3 /PCNNTs shows reproducible RhB kinetics (0.16706 ± 0.00477 min −1 ). • Post-reuse analyses confirm operational retention and framework preservation. • Combined evidence supports an S-scheme-like working model with ROS generation. Developing efficient photocatalysts with tunable interfacial properties is important for pollutant removal. Here, phosphorus-modified graphitic carbon nitride nanotubes (PCNNTs) were coupled with α-MoO 3 to prepare MoO 3 /PCNNTs heterostructures. CNNTs, PCNNTs, MoO 3 /CNNTs, and MoO 3 /PCNNTs were compared to examine the effects of phosphorus modification and MoO 3 coupling. XPS revealed changes in the P-, Mo-, and O-containing chemical environments after MoO 3 coupling. Among the carbon-nitride-based samples, MoO 3 /PCNNTs showed the largest BET specific surface area (101.2 m 2 g −1 ), the smallest apparent optical band gap (2.72 eV), and the lowest fitted charge-transfer resistance (314.2 Ω). Under white-LED irradiation, the representative apparent pseudo-first-order rate constant of MoO 3 /PCNNTs for RhB removal was 0.1718 min −1 . Five independent experiments gave mean rate constants of 0.1671 ± 0.0048 min −1 for MoO 3 /PCNNTs and 0.1007 ± 0.0057 min −1 for MoO 3 /CNNTs. The composite also showed removal of MB, MO, and TC-HCl with pollutant-dependent responses, and maintained higher RhB removal than MoO 3 /CNNTs over six consecutive reuse cycles. Post-cycling characterization retained the characteristic morphology and bulk structural features, alongside changes in the surface chemical environment. These comparative results associate phosphorus modification and MoO 3 coupling with altered material properties and improved pollutant-removal performance under the tested conditions.
