Novel CuSbS2 quantum dots (QDs)/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composites are self-assembled via a hot-injection method, and CuSbS2 QDs exhibit a near monodispersion on the rGO surface. The gas sensors based on CuSbS2 QDs/rGO composites show the relatively good gas responses toward NH3 with an outstanding detection limit of 500 ppb and an average response time of 50 s at room temperature, and visible light illumination is proven to further promote the sensing performance of the composites. The study of the sensing mechanism reveals that the acidic sites on the surface play an extremely important role in NH3 adsorption of the composites, and the reaction between NH3 molecules and the pre-adsorbed oxygen ions finally leads to the generation of NO molecules. The synergistic effect existing between CuSbS2 QDs and rGO, in terms of electron transfer, is certified as well.
CuSbS2 nanobricks are prepared via a hot injection method (a fast homogeneous nucleation reaction) by introducing oleylamine (OLA) as surfactant. The phase of each sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) revealed brick-liked nanomaterials were obtained, with a size of 50-200 nm long, 20-50 nm wide, about 10 nm thick. The electrochemical performance was also tested with 2025-type coin cell, and it exhibited a high initial capacity with discharge and charge capacities of 1090 mAh g-1 and 761.6 mAh g-1 respectively, although the capacity retention was insufficient. By using cyclic voltammogram (CV), ex situ XRD, the reaction mechanism of the new CuSbS2 electrode was also examined during the first cycle. In addition, the Electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS) was recommended to study the change in the internal impedance upon cycling.

In this paper, CuSbS 2 thin films were prepared by a facile and environmental-friendly chemical solution method at low temperature. The effect of sulfurization temperature was studied. The properties of CuSbS 2 thin films were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, UV–Vis and photocurrent response measurement. The results indicated CuSbS 2 thin films sulfurized at 350 °C showed better crystallinity and no impurity phase. The as-prepared CuSbS 2 film had a band gap of 1.5 eV and an obvious photoconductivity.
