A bioinspired spider silk fiber (i.e., PCLC) is presented by introducing the zwitterionic hydrogel poly-[2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl] dimethyl-(3-sulfopropyl)ammonium hydroxide (PDMAPS) and CAU-10-H used as carriers of hygroscopic salt Lithium chloride (LiCl), and the addition of carbon black (CB) nanoparticles makes the prepared fibers have photothermal effect. PCLC fiber achieves the moisture absorption capacity of ≈1.49 – 1.99 g g −1 after 2 h adsorption at ≈40% relative humidity (RH). The temperature of a single PCLC knot can rise to 46.4 °C for ≈3600 s, and the temperature of a batch of PCLC spider knot fibers can rise to 112.1 °C for ≈3600 s (under ≈1 sun illumination), which has excellent photothermal effect. Water collection is conducted for five consecutive days with a daily collected amount of ≈1.87 g g −1 . The PCLC fiber shows good water vapor adsorption reversibility after 10 consecutive adsorption-desorption cycles, the moisture absorption can be stabilized at ≈1.9 g g −1 , and the water vapor desorption capacity reaches ≈1.73 g g −1 (under ≈1 sun illumination, exhibiting water vapor desorption efficiency of ≈92.1%).
With the advancement and development of nanomedicine, tumor precision therapy provides technical support for effective accumulation and targeted drug delivery, and reduces toxic side effects. In cancer cells, breaking the redox balance could induce cancer cell death. Herein, a novel iron-containing intelligent hydrogel nanobot (FeSe2–Ce6/MOF@HA/PEI/CpG@HHPA NPs, abbreviated as FSMH) is proposed to break the intracellular redox balance and trigger the immune response. The as-fabricated multifunctional FSMH could not only exert Fenton reactions in the acidic tumor microenvironment, converting hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into highly toxic hydroxyl radicals (˙OH), but also effectively consume GSH to attenuate the intracellular oxidative stress. The negative charge of the FSMH nanohydrogel system guarantees its superexcellent stabilization in blood circulation and optimal tumor collection. Subsequently, the surface charge of the endocytosed FSMH was transformed to a positive charge after exposure to the acidic tumor environment, further improving its tumor collection and locally releasing Fe ions and immune adjuvants. Furthermore, Ce6 was released in a pH-responsive manner in the acidic microenvironment. In the presence of near-infrared light, singlet oxygen was produced by the FSMH nanohydrogel system, to ablate tumors and promote the maturation of dendritic cells, achieving the precision-combined strategies effect of CDT, PDT, and immunotherapy.

MOF-based atmospheric water harvesting technology is a straightforward and practical strategy for producing safe drinking water . However, separate designs of high-adsorption desiccant skeletons and efficient photothermal layers are required to maximize water production efficiency. This work presents an integrated design of a multifunctional monolithic adsorbent through the layer-by-layer assembly of chitosan/polydopamine layers and hybridized MOF backbones on a glass fiber support. The hydrophilic hybridized MOF consisting of MIL-160(Al) and MOF-303 obtains the higher specific surface area (917.59 m 2 /g) and pore volume (0.44 cm 3 /g) through morphological reorganization for facilitating water capture and storage capacity. Especially in arid environments (RH ≤ 30 %), the resultant MOF has a superior moisture adsorption capacity (0.44 g/g) than parental MOF and other potential MOFs. The polymeric photothermal layer of adsorbent enables high solar thermal conversion in sunlight to assist the release of collected water. With fast sorption–desorption kinetics, an impressive outdoor water production of 0.94 g/g per day is observed in the designed monolithic adsorbent, indicating its enormous potential for safe, sustainable and scalable atmospheric water collection technology.
