The single-component electrode materials have not met the requirement of high performance of energy storage devices. Hybrids combined with two-dimensional materials and nanoparticles exhibit problem-solving ability. In this work, ZnFe2O4@V2CTx hybrids are fabricated by in situ chemical co-precipitation, and the morphology, microstructure, and electrochemical performance are characterized. Scanning electron micrscopy images show the internal gaps of the accordion-like structure of V2CTx MXene are filled with ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles. On the basis of the different lithium storage mechanisms and the stable interface electronic transfer, the hybrid with the weight ratio of V2CTx MXene and ZnFe2O4 being 0.5:1 exhibits an amazing reversible capacity of 1189 mAh g–1 after 100 cycles, which is 7.62 times that of pure ZnFe2O4. Obviously, ZnFe2O4@V2CTx MXene electrodes contribute synergetic charge storage via the redox and intercalation mechanism. Interestingly, ex situ X-ray photoelectron spectra are utilized to explore the complicated electrode reaction. These results tend to confirm Zn has not been involved in the lithium storage process. The study will illuminate the application prospect of transition metal oxides-based materials as high-performance electrodes.
Since wearable pressure sensors have promising applications in the fields of human physiological signal detection and bionic robots, there is an urgent need for wearable pressure sensors with comprehensive attributes such as high sensitivity and wide detection range. Here, we introduce a facile electrospinning process to fabricate a film composed of thermoplastic polyurethane/carboxyl multiwalled carbon nanotube/V 2 CT X -MXene (TPU/c-MWCNTs/V 2 C). This film has high sensitivity and great linearity, designed for flexible piezoresistive sensors. To further enhance sensor performance, we applied a spin-coating of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) on the sandpaper surface to create a top substrate with intermittent spinosum structures. Additionally, a layer of TPU fibers was electrospun between the conductive film and the interdigitated electrodes. The assembled components form a flexible piezoresistive sensor with a wide detection range of 0–200 kPa, a high sensitivity of 545.2 kPa −1 , a low detection limit of 5 Pa, a short response time of 48 ms, and excellent long-term durability after 7000 loading/unloading cycles, making the piezoresistive sensor highly discriminating for detecting complex human movements. Thanks to the great sensing performance and stable structure, we conducted various demonstrations to capture human physiological signals, including signals of muscle activity and pulse. These findings indicate the potential of the designed flexible pressure sensor for applications in electronic skin and smart devices.
An electrochemical aptasensor was prepared for the efficient, sensitive, and selective detection of 17β-estradiol. The sensor was based on a defective two-dimensional porphyrin-based metal–organic framework derived from V 2 CT x MXene. The resulting metal–organic framework nanosheets benefited from the advantages of V 2 CT x MXene nanosheets and porphyrin-based metal–organic framework, two-dimensional porphyrin-based metal–organic framework nanosheets demonstrated amplified electrochemical response and enhanced aptamer-immobilization ability compared with V 2 CT x MXene nanosheets. The sensor’s detection limit was ultralow at 0.81 fg mL −1 (2.97 fM), and the 17β-estradiol concentration range was wide, thereby outperforming most reported aptasensors. The high selectivity, superior stability and reproducibility, and excellent regeneration performance of the constructed aptasensor indicated its remarkable potential application for 17β-estradiol determination in diverse real samples. This aptasensing strategy can be used to analyze other targets by replacing the corresponding aptamer.
