The rapid development of high performance detection technology promotes the innovation of stealth technology moving towards the direction of multi-band compatibility, but suffers great challenges. Especially for the widely used radar detection and infrared detection, how to overcome the contradiction between their corresponding stealth materials and develop high-performance stealth materials with microwave-infrared compatible property is extremely urgent. Herein, flexible cellular reduced graphene oxide aerogels modulated by antimony tin oxide (ATO/rGO) have been synthesized by self-assembly, which demonstrate excellent microwave-infrared stealth compatibility. Remarkably, the aerogel exhibits dual-absorption in microwave stealth caused by strong interface polarization, achieving the maximum reflection loss (RL) of −40.92 dB at 11.36 GHz coupled with another absorption peak of −19.82 dB at 16.64 GHz and a broadest effective absorption bandwidth of 9.8 GHz covering the X band and Ku band, which can be verified by electromagnetic finite element method simulation. Moreover, trace amount of loss components ATO in conductive network structure guarantee the low infrared emissivity (0.383) and thermal insulation synchronously, which is the key to compatibility with infrared stealth. The light ATO/rGO aerogels demonstrate the great prospect for anti-detection and security protection, providing a novel approach for multispectral compatible stealth.

Recently, antimony-doped tin oxide nanoparticles (ATO NPs) have been widely used in the fields of electronics, photonics, photovoltaics, sensing, and other fields because of their good conductivity, easy synthesis, excellent chemical stability, high mechanical strength, good dispersion and low cost. Herein, for the first time, a novel nonvolatile transistor memory device is fabricated using ATO NPs as charge trapping sites to enhance the memory performance. The resulting organic nano-floating gate memory (NFGM) device exhibits outstanding memory properties, including tremendous memory window (∼85 V), superhigh memory on/off ratio (∼109), long data retention (over 10 years) and eminent multilevel storage behavior, which are among the optimal performances in NFGM devices based on organic field effect transistors. Additionally, the device displays photoinduced-reset characteristic with low energy consumption erasing operation. This study provides novel avenues for the manufacture of simple and low-cost data storage devices with outstanding memory performance, multilevel storage behavior and suitability as platforms for integrated circuits.

Porous ceramics have attracted extensive attention because of their high porosity, low thermal conductivity , large specific surface area and good corrosion resistance . In this work, TiN porous ceramics with high porosity are successfully prepared via the combination of freeze-drying and in-situ nitridation reaction method using Ti powder and chitosan as raw materials. The influence of the solid content of Ti powder, the concentration of chitosan/acetic acid solution and the nitridation temperature on the morphologies and physical properties of as-prepared TiN porous ceramics are fully investigated. The sample with high porosity of 92.8% and low bulk density of 0.27 g/cm 3 can be obtained through optimal parameters (the solid content of Ti powder is 9.6 wt%, the concentration of chitosan/acetic acid solution is 5 wt%, and the nitridation temperature is 1473 K). Particular emphasize is that the as-prepared TiN porous ceramics can be used as sulfur host material for lithium-sulfur batteries (LSBs). Good rate performance and cycle stability of TiN/S electrodes are achieved by electrochemical performance tests. The initial discharge capacity of TiN/S electrodes is 778 mAh g −1 at 0.5C, and the capacity retention rate is 94% after 200 cycles.

The study presents a new approach for rapid and ultrasensitive detection of maltol using a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with graphene oxide-wrapped tin oxide@carbon nanospheres (SnO 2 @C@GO). The morphological and components properties of SnO 2 @C@GO nanocomposites were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. SnO 2 @C@GO nanocomposite on a GCE had a synergetic effect on the electrochemical oxidation of maltol by means of square wave voltammetry. Under the optimum conditions, anodic peak current response of maltol was linear with its concentration in the range of 80 nM–10 μM, and a detection limit of 12 nM was achieved for maltol. The experiment results presented that the method showed good selectivity, sensitivity, reproducibility, and long-term stability, as well as excellent potential for use as an ideal inexpensive voltammetric method applicable for complex food matrices.

Ruthenium dioxide (RuO2) has been considered a benchmark electrocatalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction, according to the volcano theory. However, the comparatively strong adsorption of RuO2 and oxygenated intermediates restricts its performance during the actual oxygen evolution reaction (OER) process. Here, we have developed a rutile-structured ruthenium–tin solid-solution oxide (Ru0.6Sn0.4O2) by using a competitive adsorption strategy to accelerate the OER kinetics. Sn was introduced into RuO2 to construct a solid-solution oxide structure, given the similar ionic radii, identical cation valence, and the same crystal structure for the oxides. As a consequence, the Ru0.6Sn0.4O2 catalyst displayed a low overpotential of 245 mV, reaching 10 mA cm−2 current density and a low Tafel slope of 61.80 mV dec−1 in 1.0 M KOH electrolyte. Meanwhile, theoretical calculations revealed that the incorporation of Sn components decreased the anti-bonding spin states of the Ru d orbitals, which modulated the energy barrier of the rate-determining step, thus accelerating the OER kinetics. This approach extends the ideas for designing efficient solid-solution oxide electrocatalysts.

Efficient adsorption of radioactive 137 Cs + and 60 Co 2+ and their decay products 137 Ba 2+ and 60 Ni 2+ bears significance for hazard elimination in case of nuclear emergency, which relies on the adsorption rate enhancement that takes advantages of compositional and structural optimization. Herein, we report a zinc-doped selenidostannate constructed from T2-supertetrahedral clusters, namely K 3.4 (CH 3 NH 3 ) 0.45 (NH 4 ) 0.15 Zn 2 Sn 3 Se 10 ·3.4 H 2 O ( ZnSnSe‐1K ). The soft Se and micro-porosity synergistically endow this material with a binding affinity to Cs + , Ba 2+ , Co 2+ , and Ni 2+ ions and ultrafast kinetics with R > 97.6% in 2–60 min. In particular, ZnSnSe‐1K can remove 99.34% of Cs + in 2 min ( K d Cs > 1.5 × 10 5 mL g −1 ), contributing to a record rate constant k 2 of 9.240 g mg −1 min −1 that surpasses all metal chalcogenide adsorbents. ZnSnSe‐1K exhibits good acid/base tolerance (pH = 0–12), and the adsorption capacities at neutral are 253.61 ± 9.15, 108.94 ± 25.32, 45.76 ± 14.19 and 38.49 ± 2.99 mg g −1 for Cs + , Ba 2+ , Co 2+ , and Ni 2+ , respectively. The adsorption performances resist well co-existing cations and anions, and the removal rates can keep above or close to 90% even in sea water. ZnSnSe‐1K is employed in continuous column and membrane filtration, both of which shows excellent elimination efficiency ( R > 99%) for mixed Cs + , Ba 2+ , Co 2+ , and Ni 2+ . Especially, the membrane with an ultrathin (70 µm) ZnSnSe‐1K layer can remove 97–100% Cs + in suction filtration with a short contact time of 0.33 s. Combined with the simple synthesis, facile elution and great irradiation resistance, ZnSnSe‐1K emerges as a selenide adsorbent candidate for use in environmental remediation especially that involving nuclear waste disposal .

Heat stabilizers are crucial additives for enhancing the thermal stability of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) during processing. Among the various heat stabilizers available, organic tin compounds have shown remarkable effectiveness. In this study, we investigated the use of dimethyltin dineodecanoate (DMTDN), dibutyltin dineodecanoate (DBTDN), and dioctyltin dineodecanoate (DOTDN) as heat stabilizers for PVC. These compounds were combined with calcium stearate (CaSt 2 ) and zinc stearate (ZnSt 2 ) to improve the thermal stability of PVC materials. The results demonstrated that the thermal stabilization effects of the three tin neodecanoates, when used as standalone heat stabilizers, followed the order: DOTDN > DBTDN > DMTDN. Notably, the thermal stability and lubricity of the three-component heat stabilizer (MTN 5 -C 4 Z 1 , BTN 5 -C 4 Z 1 , and OTN 5 -C 4 Z 1 , respectively), which consisted of the three types of tin neodecanoate, CaSt 2 , and ZnSt 2 in a ratio of 5:4:1, outperformed the use of tin neodecanoate alone. This study offered potential formulations to reduce the application cost of tin neodecanoate as a PVC heat stabilizer.

TiN supported Co-Mo nitride nano particles were synthesized via a modified sol-gel method, and then nitrided under NH 3 atmosphere at 700 °C. The samples obtained were characterized by XRD, XPS, HRTEM and SAED techniques and tested as catalysts for oxygen reduction reactions (ORR) in acid medium. The synergistic effect of the cobalt and molybdenum nitrides on nanosized TiN leads to a good ORR catalytic activity. The onset potential for the Co 1 Mo 1 Nx/TiN-6 catalyst was shifted to a more positive value 0.347 V versus SCE and the reduction peak located at 0.273 V versus SCE (0.401 V of Pt/C at the same condition). The number of electron transfer was tested by a rotating disk electrode which was in concordance with a two-electron mechanism at the potential 0.2 V versus SCE and it increased to four-electron in the negative values of the potential -0.2 V versus SCE. HRTEM showed that the nanoscale Co 2 N and MoN were still highly dispersed on the surface of TiN though heated at high temperature. This work clearly indicates that the oxygen reduction active center of Co-Mo-N/TiN catalyst was the mixture of Co 2 N and MoN.

The development of modern infrared detection technology has increased the possibility that military targets will be identified. Therefore, the task of protecting these targets is urgent extremely. The infrared stealth materials should be versatile to achieve the performance requirements of different applications and should be sustainable to achieve environmental friendliness. In order to solve this problem, an antimony doped tin oxide/silver/bamboo fibers (ATO-Ag-BFs) composite bamboo fabrics with multi-functional properties including infrared protection and antibacterial and hydrophobic properties were developed by the combination of ATO loading, chemical deposition, and hot press process. The ATO-Ag-BFs fabrics possessed plasmon resonance absorption properties of near-infrared light, which was attributed to the formation of Schottky junction by direct contact between Ag and ATO nanoparticles. The resulting ATO-Ag-BFs shows the infrared emissivity as low as 0.68 in the 8–14 μm thermal imaging band, which allowed the target to be blended adequately into environmental background. In addition, ATO-Ag-BFs treated with n-hexadecyl mercaptan exhibited remarkable hydrophobic properties with a water contact angle (WCA) of 147.7° compared to the non-hydrophobic treated ATO-Ag-BFs, which increased by 273.9%. Especially, the combination of Ag and ATO nanoparticles endowed bamboo fiber fabrics with outstanding antibacterial properties, with 100% inhibition of both Escherichia coli ( E. coli ) and Staphylococcus aureus ( S. aureus ). Overall, the multi-functional ATO-Ag-BFs based on bamboo fibers developed in this study can be applied in the field of wearable infrared and thermal radiation shielding to meet the requirements for concealment in harsh environments, proving that it is a tremendous potential candidate for infrared stealth materials. Herein, a novel and convenient electrochemical sensor based on a glassy carbon electrode modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes-titanium nitride (MWCNTs-TiN) film for sensitive and efficient detection of bisphenol A (BPA) was developed. Several important parameters controlling the performance of the sensor, such as scan rate, the volume of MWCNTs-TiN dispersion and the pH value of buffer solution, were be investigated and optimized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). It was notable that the oxidation peak current of BPA had enhanced greatly and the oxidation overpotential had decreased significantly. Under the optimized conditions, the oxidation peak current was proportional to BPA concentration in the range of 0.1-50μM, and the detection limit was 0.05μM. Meanwhile, the modified electrode was also exhibited good reproducibility and stability, and was employed to in-situ determinate BPA in water samples with satisfying results.

The performance of tin (Sn)-based perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) lags behind their lead analogs due to the challenges of Sn 2+ oxidation, defect passivation, and fast crystallization. Herein, the passivation effects of diphenylphosphine oxide (DPPO) derivatives on the fabrication of PEA 2 SnI 4 films are investigated. The DPPO derivatives with hydroxyl group, or including substituent group with the potential to form hydroxyl group, are unfavorable passivators due to their positive effects in accelerating Sn 2+ oxidation. In comparison, amino-functionalized DPPO molecule is an effective additive to enhance the photoluminescence of PEA 2 SnI 4 films due to the effective defect passivation as well as crystallinity improvement. Based on the optimized films, color-stable pure-red PeLEDs are demonstrated with a full width at half maximum of 23 nm at 630 nm, a maximum luminance of 451 cd m −2 , a maximum external quantum efficiency of 3.51%, and a half-lifetime of 13.7 min at 102 cd m −2 . This work opens new prospects on the selection of effective molecular additives for Sn-based perovskites.

Novel polyaniline-titanium nitride (PANI-TiN) nanocomposites were synthesized by one step chemical oxidation polymerization at a low temperature and PANI-TiN/epoxy coatings with enhanced corrosion resistance were obtained based on the synergistic effect of TiN nanoparticles and PANI nanorods. PANI-TiN nanocomposites and resultant epoxy coatings were characterized by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), Raman and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Their anticorrosion performance in a 3.5 wt.% NaCl aqueous solution was investigated by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and polarization curves. The results indicated that the corrosion resistance of PANI/epoxy coatings can be highly enhanced by introducing TiN nanoparticles to the PANI nanorods and the PANI-TiN/epoxy composite coating with 0.4 wt.% TiN (mass ratio to epoxy) exhibited the best corrosion protective performance, whose corrosion potential ( E corr = −0.338 V) was positively shifted by 0.235 V compared with pure epoxy matrix ( E corr = −0.573 V), and the corrosion current density was reduced by two orders of magnitude. The chemical structure of the rust layer and the anticorrosion mechanism were studied via X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and XPS. TiN nanoparticles showed a remarkably inhibiting effect on the agglomeration of PANI nanorods in epoxy coating. The corrosion resistance was attributed to the mixed mechanism of “passivation effect” of highly dispersed PANI and “labyrinth effect” of TiN nanoparticles.
