Despite rapid development of perovskite nanocrystal (PeNC) light-emitting diodes (LEDs), it remains challenging to achieve efficient and stable blue PeLEDs , especially for pure-blue PeLEDs required for displays. Mixed halide CsPb(Br/Cl) 3 NC is a common strategy to achieve pure-blue emission, but suffers from low photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) and spectra instability. Here, a facile approach for the synthesis of high-quality pure-blue emitting CsPb(Br/Cl) 3 NCs is reported by introducing an organic sulfonate, phenyl trifluoromethanesulfonate (PTFMS), which works as an efficient surface passivator. As a result, the optimized PeNCs achieve a high PLQY of 85% and enhanced conductivity. Furthermore, the LED based on the optimized PeNCs is developed with pure-blue emission at 469 nm, which yields an external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 1.20% and luminance of 355 cd m −2 . More impressively, the device shows excellent spectra and operation stability under voltage bias , resulting from the suppressed ion migration channels by efficient defect passivation .

Safety concerns remain a bottleneck for the application of 2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro- 2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane (CL-20)/1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazacyclooctane (HMX) cocrystal. Melamine–formaldehyde (MF) resin was chosen to fabricate CL-20/HMX cocrystal-based core–shell composites (CH@MF composites) via a facile in situ polymerization method. The resulted CH@MF composites were comprehensively characterized, and a compact core–shell structure was confirmed. The effects of the shell content on the properties of the composites were explored as well. As a result, we found that, except for CH@MF–2 with a 1% shell content, the increase in shell content led to a rougher surface morphology and more close-packed structure. The thermal decomposition peak temperature improved by 5.3 °C for the cocrystal enabled in 1.0 wt% MF resin. Regarding the sensitivity, the CH@MF composites exhibited a significantly reduced impact and friction sensitivity with negligible energy loss compared with the raw cocrystal and physical mixtures due to the cushioning and insulation effects of the MF coating. The formation mechanism of the core–shell micro-composites was further clarified. Overall, this work provides a green, facile and industrially potential strategy for the desensitization of energetic cocrystals. The CH@MF composites with high thermal stability and low sensitivity are promising to be applied in propellants and polymer-bonded explosive (PBX) formulations.Keywords:CL-20/HMX cocrystal;in situ polymerization;core–shell structure;desensitization;thermal stability

Li–O 2 battery has attracted wide attention because it can satisfy the need for a new energy storage system with high energy density. However, poor oxygen reduction (ORR)/oxygen evolution (OER) kinetics involving Li 2 O 2 formation/decomposition is a major obstacle to its development. By designing suitable cathode with desired structure and surface electronic states, the formation/morphology of Li 2 O 2 and the reaction kinetics of charge process can be efficiently optimized simultaneously. In this work, a novel sulfur (S) and chlorine (Cl) co-doped porous carbon (CSC) were synthesized by one-step pyrolysis strategy, and the amount of heterogeneous atoms could be flexibly controlled by different calcination temperatures . Experimental combined with theoretical calculations show that the content of C Cl bond plays an important role in the adsorption of intermediate LiO 2 , thus regulating the morphology of Li 2 O 2 and ultimately affecting the release of battery energy. The C S bond mainly acts on the dynamics of the ORR and OER processes, which has an important influence on improving the round-trip efficiency of the battery. Benefiting from the synergistic effect of heteroatoms , the electrochemical performances of the Li–O 2 battery, including round-trip efficiency, discharge capacity and cycling stability are greatly improved.

All-inorganic perovskite (CsPbX 3 , X = Cl, Br, I) nanocrystals (NCs) with promising optical properties are recognized as a rising star among photoelectric materials, but their inevitable instabilities limit extensive application. Herein, a new one-step strategy for encapsulating CsPbX 3 NCs with porous zeolite via the hot injection method is explored. By altering the mole ratio of PbX 2 , the emission wavelength of CsPbX 3 @zeolite is found to be regularly modulated from blue-emission (CsPbCl 2 Br@zeolite, 436 nm) to red-emission (CsPbBrI 2 @zeolite, 648 nm), thus enabling full spectrum adjustment. Due to the surface passivation of zeolite to CsPbX 3 NCs, CsPbX 3 @zeolite possess an outstanding quantum yield and display excellent thermal/photo/air stability. Subsequently, white light-emitting diodes based on green-CsPbBr 3 @zeolite and red-CsPbBrI 2 @zeolite are constructed and applied to the backlit display, achieving a wide color gamut of 134.2% for NTSC 1953 and 99.8% for Rec. 2020. The CsPbX 3 @zeolite implanted with a polymethyl methacrylate film is used to realize upconversion emission under an 800 nm laser at room temperature. Furthermore, amplified spontaneous radiation based on CsPbBr 3 @zeolite films is achieved. These results convincingly indicate broad application prospects for CsPbX 3 @zeolite prepared via this simple method.

With the regulation of perfluorooctanesulfonate (PFOS), 6:2 chlorinated polyfluoroalkyl ether sulfonate (6:2 Cl-PFESA) has been used as a potential PFOS alternative in electroplating . In this study, the uptake, translocation and phytotoxicity of PFOS and 6:2 Cl-PFESA in mung bean ( Vigna radiata (Linn.) Wilczek. ) were investigated. The uptake kinetics of PFOS and 6:2 Cl-PFESA fit the Michaelis-Menten equation well, suggesting that the uptake is a carrier-mediated process. The root concentration factor (RCF) of 6:2 Cl-PFESA (34.55 mL g −1 dw) was 1.27 times that of PFOS (27.11 mL g −1 dw), and the translocation factor (TF) of 6:2 Cl-PFESA (0.177) was 1.07 times that of PFOS (0.165). Exposure to 6:2 Cl-PFESA and PFOS both resulted in the inhibition of mung bean seedling development. Treatment with 6:2 Cl-PFESA and PFOS led to the concentration-dependent elevation of malondialdehyde (MDA), carbonyl groups, and phosphorylated histone H2AX (γ-H2AX) levels in mung bean roots. The MDA and carbonyl group contents induced by 6:2 Cl-PFESA were 1.10–1.35 and 1.03–1.14 times, respectively, those of PFOS. The hydroxyl free radical (·OH) levels in mung bean roots after exposure to PFOS and 6:2 Cl-PFESA were elevated significantly, and the ·OH levels induced by 6:2 Cl-PFESA were higher than those induced by PFOS. Hydroxyl free radical levels were positively correlated with the MDA and carbonyl group contents in mung bean roots ( p < 0.05). The dynamic changes in some antioxidative enzyme activities in mung bean seedlings were determined, including peroxidase (POD), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT). The results demonstrated the phytotoxicities of 6:2 Cl-PFESA and PFOS to mung bean in the early developmental stage. 6:2 Cl-PFESA is more harmful to mung beans than PFOS. The production of hydroxyl radical is the mechanism that causes the toxicity of PFOS and 6:2 Cl-PFESA toward plants.

All-inorganic CsPbX 3 (X = Cl, Br, I) perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) hold tremendous prospect in optoelectronics. Different from the previous method of preparing perovskite glass, the self-crystallization of CsPbX 3 (X = Cl, Br, I) PNCs glasses were successfully synthesized by introducing TiO 2 into the glass matrix without subsequent annealing and heat treatment engineering. The effective realization of self-crystallization was attributed to the nucleating agent changing the glass structure which has been confirmed by DSC, XPS, FTIR tests. As a nucleating agent, TiO 2 reduced the crystallization temperature of BSZ glasses and promoted controlled nucleation of PNCs. Surprisingly, the self-crystallized glass with high Photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 41.2% showed strong hydrothermal stability. After soaking in water for 30 days, the Pb 2+ escaped did not change significantly. The green-emitting LEDs made of BSZ-xTi achieved tunable colour coordinates of (0.1038–0.1177, 0.7376–0.7386). Furthermore, combining BSZ-2Ti with BrI 2 -2Ti on InGaN chip, the wide-color-gamut covering 93.15% of the Rec. 2020 standard was achieved. This study has an important role in guiding the synthesis of time-saving, environment-friendly and low-cost PNCs glasses, which made a contribution to deepening the understanding of the promoting effect of related nucleating agents on nucleation of PNCs.

In this work, we made use of a one-step hydrothermal method for the purpose of synthesizing the multifunctional N, Cl co-doped carbon dots (NCl-CDs) from hexadecylpyridinium chloride as raw materials. The as-prepared NCl-CDs as a fluorescent probe have been put to use to develop a label free fluorescence sensing platform to detect hematin and temperature. The NCl-CDs displays temperature-dependent fluorescence that has a sensational linear feedback between 20 and 80 ℃. Moreover, hematin makes the effective quenching of the fluorescence intensity of NCl-CDs possible on the basis of inner filter effect (IFE). This sensing platform possessed elevated selectivity towards hematin with the detection limit amounting to 0.16 μM, which was further applicable in detecting hematin in human serum samples.

In this study, three GR/Cu(II) (Green Rust/Cu(II)) composites (GR SO4 /Cu(II), GR CO3 /Cu(II), and GR Cl /Cu(II)) were synthesized and used to activate dioxygen under weakly acidic conditions. The change in the mechanism caused by three interlayer anions, CO 3 2− , SO 4 2− , and Cl − , was discussed for the first time. Both Cu(I) and H 2 O 2 were generated during GR/Cu(II)-induced dioxygen activation, resulting in the rapid degradation of acetaminophen. The inconsistency between the reaction constant rates and oxidation reduction potential (ORP) order revealed the effects of the various types of interlayer ions. To further reveal the effects of the anions, the variations in the morphology and valence states of the composites were examined. To identify the rate-controlling step of dioxygen activation by the three composites, the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) was investigated and compared. The combination of interlayer anions and metal ions changed the oxide morphology of the solid-phase materials. Furthermore, changes in the content of the reductive species (Fe(II) or Cu(I)) either enhanced or inhibited specific reaction steps. The results from this study could deepen our understanding of the effects of anions on dioxygen activation by transition metals and provide a basis for the study of oxidation reactions and mechanisms in the presence of various anions.

A series of silica supported Pd (Pd/SiO2) catalysts were prepared in various HCl concentrations (CHCl) of the impregnation solution with different electrostatic interactions between Pd precursor and support, and their catalytic properties were evaluated by the selective hydrogenation of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR). The results show that with the CHCl increasing from 0.1 to 5 M, the particle size of Pd nanoparticles dramatically decreases from 24.2 to 5.1 nm and stabilizes at ∼5 nm when CHCl is higher than 2 M. Using the catalysts prepared with a high CHCl (>2 M), an excellent hydrogenation degree (HD) of ∼94% with 100% selectivity to C═C can be acquired under mild conditions. Interestingly, the HD could be remarkably increased from 65 to 92% by increasing only CCl– from 0.1 to 2 M with the addition of NaCl while keeping CH+ at 0.1 M. This is because PdCl42– is the predominant existing form of precursor at high CCl–, which has a strong electrostatic attraction with the positively charged support favorable for the formation of small-sized Pd nanoparticles over silica. Notably, Pd leaching behavior during the hydrogenation reaction is closely related to CH+, and the higher the CH+, the less Pd residues are detected in the hydrogenated NBR. Our contribution is to provide a facile strategy to synthesize effective and stable Pd/SiO2 catalysts via adjusting the electrostatic interaction, which exhibits a high activity and selectivity for NBR hydrogenation.

A one-dimensional energetic complex (Na[CL-14·2H2O]) constructed from sodium and 5,7-diamino-4,6-dinitrobenzofuroxan (CL-14) was synthesized, and its crystal structure was analyzed by X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to a monoclinic system with space group P21/c. The complex possesses a one-dimensional coordination framework based on the [ONaN]n chain, which might result in its low sensitivity and high heat resistant. The thermal decomposition mechanism of Na[CL-14·2H2O] was predicted by means of TG-DSC, TG-MS and FTIR analyses. The thermal decomposition of Na[CL-14·2H2O] contains one endothermic and one exothermic processes in the temperature range of 25–500 °C with NaNCO, Na2CO3, H2O, NO and CO2 as the final products. The non-isothermal kinetic and thermodynamic parameters for the first exothermic process of the Na[CL-14·2H2O] have been studied, with the apparent activation energy, pre-exponential factor, entropy of activation, enthalpy of activation and free energy of activation of 280.7 kJ mol−1, 57.8, 282.7 J mol−1 K−1, 276.2 kJ mol−1 and 154.8 kJ mol−1, respectively. The impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity of Na[CL-14·2H2O] was tested according to general methods, with the values of 27 J and 360 N, respectively. Na[CL-14·2H2O] has been investigated as an energetic catalyst in ammonium nitrate (AN) by means of TG-DTG, TG-MS, DSC and extent of conversion (α)–T kinetic curve analyses. And the thermal kinetic constants for the catalytic and noncatalytic decomposition of AN samples were calculated using Kissinger's and Ozawa–Doyle's equations. The possible catalytic mechanism was also discussed and proposed. The results show that Na[CL-14·2H2O] decreases the peak temperature and activation energy value of the complete decomposition process for AN by 41.3 °C and 10.9 kJ mol−1, respectively. Furthermore, the thermal decomposition of AN in the presence of Na[CL-14·2H2O] starts at significantly lower temperature (about 30 °C) than that of pure AN. Apparently, Na[CL-14·2H2O] could be incorporated as a potential energetic catalyst in AN-based propellants.

The pH-responsive cellulose-g-poly[2-(diethylamino)-ethyl methacrylate] (cellulose-g-PDEAEMA) copolymers were successfully synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) in the ionic liquid 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([AMIM]Cl). As the functional monomer 2-(diethylamino)ethyl methacrylate (DEAEMA) hardly dissolved in [AMIM]Cl, we used ethyl alcohol as the cosolvent to increase its solubility and thereby form a homogeneous system. Compared with the synthetic mechanism for the heterogeneous system, generation of the byproduct poly[2-(diethylamino)ethyl methacrylate] (PDEAEMA) in the homogeneous system was reduced and the ATRP reaction was easily controlled. Optimum reaction condition was attained at the CuBr/PMDETA/DEAEMA/ethyl alcohol molar ratio of 1:15:150:300. Kinetic analysis confirmed the reaction was living and controllable. Cellulose-g-PDEAEMA was characterized through FTIR, 1 H NMR, TEM and GPC. The results showed that the PDEAEMA brush was covalently bonded to the cellulose backbone and its molecular weight distribution was narrow. In addition, the resultant copolymer could self-assemble into spherical micelles and showed the pH-sensitivity, implying its potential application as biomedical materials.
