A novel aluminum and titanium co-doped polycarbosilane (PATCS) was synthesized by the reaction of liquid polycarbosilane (LPCS), Al(acac) 3 , and Ti(Cp) 2 Cl 2 . The thermal polymerization mechanism of the PATCS was that Si-H bonds in LPCS reacted with C=C/Ti-Cl bonds in Ti(Cp) 2 Cl 2 and Al-O-C/Al-O=C groups in Al(acac) 3 to form Si-Ti, Si-C-C, Si-O-Al bonds. The TG-DSC results showed that the synthesized PATCS exhibited greater stability and a higher ceramic yield compared to PACS. A novel type Si(Al,Ti)CO ceramic fibers (AT-11) with tensile strength (2222 MPa) were obtained by melt-spining, curing, pyrolysis of the synthesized PATCS. After sintering, the AT-13 showed excellent electromagnetic wave absorption. When the thickness reached 2.3 mm, the minimum reflection loss (RL min ) vaule and the EAB were -52.02 dB and 5.12 GHz (RL < −10 dB, 10.64-15.76 GHz), respectively. While the AT-18 fibers showed higher high-temperature creep resistance in the range of 1300∼1700 °C than those of Si(Al)C ceramic fibers.

Apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1 (APE1), a key enzyme in the base excision repair pathway, is frequently overexpressed in multiple cancers and has emerged as an important biomarker for early diagnosis and therapeutic response evaluation. In this work, a highly sensitive electrochemiluminescence (ECL) biosensor was developed for APE1 detection by integrating a PAM-regulated CRISPR-Cas12a activation mechanism with a multifunctional nanocomposite-modified electrode. A Ti₃C₂/AuNPs/CsPbBr₃ ternary nanocomposite was fabricated through ultrasonic assembly to provide enhanced conductivity, water stability, and probe-loading capacity. Meanwhile, a DNA duplex containing an AP site within the PAM region was engineered to regulate Cas12a activation through APE1-mediated cleavage and polymerase-assisted repair, thereby minimizing background interference and enabling highly specific signal generation. Ferrocene-labeled DNA tetrahedrons (TDNs) were further introduced as a spatially ordered probe scaffold to improve hybridization efficiency and facilitate Cas12a trans-cleavage–mediated signal release. This work presents three key innovations: (1) Construction of a Ti₃C₂/AuNPs/CsPbBr₃ nanocomposite that simultaneously enhances ECL stability, conductivity, and electron-transfer efficiency, addressing the inherent water-instability of perovskite emitters. (2) Coupling of a PAM-regulated APE1–KF repair mechanism with Cas12a activation to achieve highly specific AP-site recognition and selective signal generation. (3) Introduction of a TDN-based probe architecture that provides rigid spatial orientation and high-density probe loading, markedly improving hybridization efficiency and Cas12a trans-cleavage performance. Benefiting from these synergistic innovations, the biosensor achieves a detection limit of 6.28 × 10⁻⁸ U μL⁻¹ and a wide linear range (1 × 10⁻⁷ to 1 × 10⁻ 1 U μL⁻¹). The platform also demonstrates excellent specificity, reproducibility, and reliable performance in diluted serum, highlighting its promise for clinical and biochemical applications.

Conventional ultra-high-temperature ceramic-modified carbon/carbon composites (C/C-UHTCs) face limitations such as excessive erosion in the gas environment of solid rocket motors (SRMs). In contrast, metal-reinforced C/C-UHTCs exhibit enhanced mechanical properties, thermophysical characteristics, and resistance to high-temperature erosion. These advantages indicate significant potential for metal-reinforced C/C-UHTCs to augment the thrust capabilities of SRMs. This study demonstrated the preparation of (Hf, Zr, Ti)C-(Hf, Zr, Ti)B 2 -W-Cu cermet modified C/C composites using slurry infiltration and reactive melt infiltration at 1400°C. The microstructure, formation mechanisms, mechanical properties, and thermophysical properties of C/C-(Hf, Zr, Ti)C-(Hf, Zr, Ti)B 2 -W-Cu composite materials, as well as the ablation behavior of the composite materials under the SRM environment were compared. The results showed that the linear and mass ablation rates of the C/C-(Hf, Zr, Ti)C-(Hf, Zr, Ti)B 2 -W-Cu composite material decreased by 112.1% and 160.4% (0.074 mm s −1 , 0.086 g s −1 ), respectively, compared with those of the C/C-(Hf, Zr, Ti)C composite material. This could be attributed to the formation of a dense, high-strength W-skeleton composite (Hf, Zr, Ti)O 2 oxide layer during the ablation of the C/C-(Hf, Zr, Ti)C-(Hf, Zr, Ti)B 2 -W-Cu composite, which effectively resisted erosion from high-temperature, high-speed and high-particle-concentration two-phase gas flow. This work presents a novel approach to enhancing the ablation resistance of C/C-UHTCs and holds significant promise for the development of structural materials in SRM environments.

This work introduces fabricating single-phase ternary-anion carbide solid solution via solid-state diffusion of B and N. Initially, non-stoichiometric (Zr,Hf,Ti)C x with carbon vacancies was synthesized by modified spark plasma sintering. Then, using B 2 O 3 and g -C 3 N 4 as sources, (Zr 0.3 Hf 0.5 Ti 0.2 )(C 0.87 B 0.03 N 0.07 ) with face-centered-cubic structure was produced via B diffusion at 1100 °C and N diffusion at 1600 °C. Trace B (0.23 wt%) and N (0.71 wt%) in (Zr 0.3 Hf 0.5 Ti 0.2 )(C 0.87 B 0.03 N 0.07 ) was found to significantly enhance the oxidation resistance (higher onset temperature 520 ± 3 °C (particle size 2.5 ± 1.3 μm) than 475 ± 3 °C of (Zr 0.3 Hf 0.5 Ti 0.2 )C 0.85 and improve structural stability with more negative binding energy.

Diabetic wounds are a major clinical challenge due to their chronic, non-healing nature, which significantly impacts patients' quality of life. Traditional treatments often fail to effectively promote wound healing, highlighting the need for new biomaterials. In this study, we developed a composite hydrogel (KC@PF@TA) that combines the photothermal and antibacterial properties of Ti₃C₂Tx-Ag (Titanium carbide-silver) with the regenerative effects of paeoniflorin (PF). The hydrogel was optimized by adjusting the composition, crosslinking density, and the incorporation of nanoparticles, which enhanced its mechanical strength, photothermal conversion efficiency, antibacterial properties, and biocompatibility. The optimized hydrogel demonstrated enhanced cell proliferation, migration, and robust photothermal and antibacterial properties in vitro. In a diabetic murine model of Staphylococcus aureus -infected wounds, KC@PF@TA exhibited exceptional therapeutic benefits in antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, angiogenic, and tissue regeneration. Overall, our results suggest that composite hydrogels with controlled bioactive agent release and mechanical modulation present a promising solution for treating chronic diabetic wounds.

Background Diabetic wounds present substantial therapeutic challenges, primarily due to their heightened susceptibility to infection and impaired healing. Effective management requires both local pathogen control and enhanced tissue regeneration. To address these dual clinical needs, we developed an electroactive and photothermal silk fibroin/polylactic acid/Al–Ti₃C₂Tₓ MXene Janus nanofibre membrane using electrospinning and spraying techniques. Results By integrating electrospinning and electrospraying, we fabricated a Janus nanofibre dressing with distinct structural, hydrophilic, and electroactive properties on each side. Upon near-infrared light irradiation, the dressing demonstrated rapid and broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. At an intensity of 0.5 W/cm 2 , the resulting photothermal effect achieved rapid sterilisation within 5 min. When combined with external electrical stimulation, the dressing also facilitated fibroblast proliferation and migration. Moreover, this dual therapy upregulated EGF, VEGF, and TGF-β expressions, thereby significantly accelerating the healing of chronic diabetic wounds. These results underscore the strong therapeutic potential of this approach for effectively managing complex diabetic wounds. Conclusion This novel biomimetic Janus membrane effectively combines photothermal antibacterial action and electrical stimulation to support wound healing. The multifunctional electrospun dressing offers a promising framework for designing advanced wound care materials specifically for infected diabetic wounds.
