Temperature stable xLi 2 MoO 4 -(1-x)(LiBi) 0.5 MoO 4 (x = 0, 40, 50, 60, 70, 100 vol%) microwave dielectric ceramics obtained by cold sintering process (CSP) under a mild sintering condition (120 ℃/30 min/200 MPa) are introduced in this work. The XRD , SEM, and Raman analysis indicate the coexistence of Li 2 MoO 4 and (LiBi) 0.5 MoO 4 phases. Li 2 MoO 4 -(LiBi) 0.5 MoO 4 ceramics are compatible with Ag and Al electrode materials under cold sintering condition. The specimens exhibit high relative densities and good microwave dielectric properties (relative permittivities: 31.5–5.5; Q×f values: 1900 - 18,500 GHz; TCF values: from +144 ppm/℃ to −106 ppm/℃), in particular, TCF = +0.7 ppm/℃ can be obtained in the case of x = 50 vol%. The extrapolated microwave dielectric properties obtained by the fitted infrared reflectivity spectrum are close to the measured data, revealing that the dielectric responses of cold sintered Li 2 MoO 4 -(LiBi) 0.5 MoO 4 ceramics in the microwave range are dominated by the polar optical phonons.

Hydroxyalkylation of phenol with formaldehyde to bisphenol F was investigated over the metal–organic frameworks of MIL-100(Fe or Cr) and MIL-101(Fe or Cr) encapsulated with Keggin phosphotungstic acid (PTA). PTA@MIL-100(Fe or Cr)(β) and PTA@MIL-101(Fe or Cr)(β) with different β values (the molar ratio of W/M, where M = Fe or Cr) were prepared and characterized by XRD, BET, FT-IR, TG, SEM, TEM, and ICP. The research results showed that PTA@MIL-100(Fe or Cr)(β) had a higher catalytic activity than PTA@MIL-101(Fe or Cr)(β). PTA@MIL-100(Fe)(0.4) was the most effective among the studied catalysts and had excellent reusability. A 92.12% product yield and 93.01% selectivity for bisphenol F could be obtained over the PTA@MIL-100(Fe)(0.40) catalyst. The effects of the reaction time, reaction temperature, catalyst concentration, and phenol/formaldehyde molar ratio on the reaction performance were also investigated. A plausible mechanism for hydroxyalkylation of phenol with formaldehyde to bisphenol F was proposed.

Designing graphitic carbon nitride (CN) based heterostructured photocatalysts with high catalytic activity is highly desired for peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation to degrade organic pollutants from water. Herein, a novel heterostructured composite (U-F@CN) consisting of ferrocene-modified Uio-66-NH 2 (U-F) and CN was synthesized. The U-F@CN exhibited superior photocatalytic performance to degrade bisphenol A (BPA) in the presence of PMS under visible light. The experimental results indicated that BPA could be removed entirely by U-F@CN within 60 min under visible light irradiation. In addition, the outstanding photocatalytic activity could be maintained at high level in a wide pH range, appropriate temperature region and natural water condition. Benefiting from the good chemical stability, outstanding optical property and in-situ generation of interfacial heterojunction of U-F@CN, the interfacial transport of photogenerated charges could follow the Z-scheme mechanism, which can accelerate the charge separation and transport to yield abundant reactive active species (ROS) to efficiently active PMS and under visible light. This work provides a novel approach to design CN-based heterostructured photocatalysts with high stability and superior photocatalytic activity for environmental remediation.

In this work, we introduced halogen-substituted chiral molecules as A-site cations to synthesize a series of novel organic–inorganic hybrid two-dimensional (2D) chiral perovskite materials (R-X-p-mBZA)2PbBr4 (X = H, F, Cl, Br; p: para-position; mBZA = α-methylbenzylamine) for the first time. This halogen-substituted cation strategy collectively solved problems of narrow emission, weak chirality and low photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) for the emerged chiral perovskites. Photoluminescence (PL) spectra are significantly broadened due to the additional emission from self-trapped excitons (STEs) besides free excitons (FEs) states modulated by introducing significant disorder to the Pb–Br–Pb angle. The chirality of A-site chiral molecules is transferred and amplified to entire perovskite materials by fixing the chiral molecules at A-site via the interaction of halogen atoms. Furthermore, their PLQYs are improved with the reduction of energy gap and inhibition of the non-radiative transition from STEs to ground state. The halogen-substituted A-site cation strategy can be performed to develop organic–inorganic hybrid chiral perovskites with various optoelectronic applications.

A series of nonmetallic elements co-doped titanium dioxide coated carbon nitride nanotubes (C/X-TiO 2 @C 3 N 4 NTs, X = N, F, Cl) was successfully prepared by a simple sol-gel-pyrolysis process using phenolic organic pollutants, titanium butoxide, and carbon nitride nanotubes as precursors. The morphology, porosity, phase and chemical structure, and optical and electronic property of as-prepared C/X-TiO 2 @C 3 N 4 NTs were well characterized. The as-prepared C/X-TiO 2 @C 3 N 4 NTs exhibited excellent visible-light photocatalytic activity in the conventional degradation and hydrogen evolution systems compared with traditional TiO 2 /g-C 3 N 4 heterojunction, which is attributed to their unique tubular nanostructure and nonmetallic elements co-doped TiO 2 component. Subsequently, the visible-light photocatalytic activity of C/X-TiO 2 @C 3 N 4 NTs was further studied in the simultaneous hydrogen evolution with organic pollutant degradation system on the basis of our previous work. The reaction mechanisms in different photocatalytic systems were further discussed in detail.

Heterocyclic aromatic amines (HAAs), potential carcinogens formed in processed meats, have been linked to liver injury. This study evaluated whether cyanidin-3-O-glucoside (C3G, 100 mg/kg) protects against liver injury by the representative HAA 2-amino-3-methylimidazo[4,5-f]quinoline (IQ, 20 mg/kg) in mice, and explored mechanisms by integrated approaches: biochemical assays, histology, Western blot, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Results demonstrated that C3G significantly ameliorated IQ-induced liver injury, as indicated by reduced serum AST and ALT and inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α) levels. Additionally, C3G restored redox homeostasis by inhibiting lipid peroxidation and protein carbonylation, while enhancing antioxidant defenses (GSH, GSH-Px, and SOD). Mechanistically, C3G exerted its protective effects via multiple anti-apoptotic pathways. Specifically, it attenuated mitochondrial apoptosis by lowering the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio and inhibiting cytochrome c-caspase-9/3 activation. It also alleviated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress by downregulating GRP78/ATF4/CHOP and caspase-12. Furthermore, C3G interfered with death receptor signaling by reducing Fas/FasL/FADD activation and caspase-8, while upregulating CFLAR. MD simulations further demonstrated that C3G binds to the hydrophobic pocket of BAX and weakens BAX-BIM interactions. These results conclusively identify C3G as a multi-target agent against IQ-induced liver damage, highlighting its promise for development into a novel dietary strategy to counteract the toxicological risks of processed meat consumption.

The ubiquitin–proteasome system (UPS) regulates protein quality or control and plays essential roles in several biological and biochemical processes in fungi. Here, we present the characterization of two UPS components, FonDoa1 and FonDoa4, in watermelon Fusarium wilt fungus, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. niveum (Fon), and their biological functions. FonDoa1 localizes in both the nucleus and cytoplasm, while FonDoa4 is predominantly present in the cytoplasm. Both genes show higher expression in germinating macroconidia at 12 h. Deletion of FonDoa1 or FonDoa4 affects vegetative growth, conidiation, conidial germination/morphology, apoptosis, and responses to environmental stressors. FonDoa1, but not FonDoa4, positively regulates autophagy. The targeted disruption mutants exhibit significantly attenuated pathogenicity on watermelon due to defects in the infection process and invasive fungal growth. Further results indicate that the WD40, PFU, and PUL domains are essential for the function of FonDoa1 in Fon pathogenicity and environmental stress responses. These findings demonstrate the previously uncharacterized biological functions of FonDoa1 and FonDoa4 in phytopathogenic fungi, providing potential targets for developing strategies to control watermelon Fusarium wilt.

Introducing F– anions or substituting F– anions with IO3– groups has been proven to be ideal strategies for designing novel noncentrosymmetric (NCS) and polar materials, yet systematic investigation into the effect of F– anions or the substitution of IO3– for F– anions on structures and properties remains rarely explored. Herein, two new gallium iodates, NaGa(IO3)2F2 (1) and NaGa(IO3)4 (2), were successfully designed and synthesized based on NaGa(IO3)3F by introducing more F– anions and replacing F– anions with IO3 groups, respectively. Structurally, in compound 1, the adjacent [GaF3(IO3)3]3– polyanions are connected in an antiparallel manner, resulting in a complete cancellation of local polarity. While in compound 2, all IO3 groups in 2D [Ga(IO3)4]∞– layers are aligned, leading to large macroscopic polarization. Additionally, chemical substitution also results in a qualitative improvement in the functional properties of compound 2. It possesses strong SHG response (12 × KDP @1064 nm) and broad optical transparency, coupled with large birefringence (0.21 @1064 nm), showcasing its promise as a promising nonlinear optical (NLO) crystal. The effects of chemical substitution between F– anions and IO3– groups on the structures and properties are discussed in detail.

Herein, a cationic iridium(III) complex [(ppy) 2 Ir(IPP)]PF 6 (ppy: 2-phenylpyridine; IPP: 2-(1 H -imidazo[4,5- f ][1,10]phenanthrolin-2-yl)phenol) was synthesized. Under the excitation of 328 nm (λ ex = 328 nm) UV light, this complex emitted bright yellow orange light (500 ∼ 700 nm, λ em,max = 582 nm), the Stokes shift was up to 254 nm, mainly due to excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) occurring in its ancillary ligand IPP. [(ppy) 2 Ir(IPP)]PF 6 was very sensitive to Ni 2+ , which was caused by the ESIPT being hindered by the coordination of [(ppy) 2 Ir(IPP)]PF 6 with Ni 2+ . Its bright yellow orange light disappeared within 1 min when Ni 2+ (1.0 equiv.) was added in its solution (in DMSO/H 2 O, v/v = 999/1), therefore, it can be used for “turn-off” chemiluminescent detection of Ni 2+ . The recognition of [(ppy) 2 Ir(IPP)]PF 6 to Ni 2+ was not interfered by many common metal ions (such as Na + , K + , Li + , Mg 2+ , Al 3+ , Ca 2+ , Fe 3+ , Ag + , Zn 2+ , Hg 2+ , Co 2+ , Pb 2+ , Mn 2+ , Ba 2+ or Cr 3+ ), however, Cu 2+ was an interfering metal ion, but its interference can be completely masked by thiourea. The detection limit was as low as 3.31 × 10 −7 mol∙L -1 (0.331 μM). The Job’s plot analysis revealed that the stoichiometry of [(ppy) 2 Ir(IPP)]PF 6 with Ni 2+ was 1:1, its detecting mechanism based on ESIPT effect was demonstrated by 1 H NMR spectra and density functional theory (DFT) calculation.

Flexible thermoelectric devices (f-TEDs) can realize direct energy conversion between heat and electricity, which hold great prospects in wearable power source and personal thermal management. However, conventional f-TEDs made from intrinsically flexible thermoelectric materials have low power density, and elastomer sealed bulk thermoelectric materials-based f-TEDs can hardly achieve active cooling. Additionally, these f-TEDs usually are not self-healable and recyclable, which easily occur fractures in wearable applications. Here, we developed a self-healable and recyclable f-TED by integrating dynamic covalent thermoset polyimine with liquid metal and thermoelectric legs. This f-TED achieves a normalized power density of 1.54 μW·cm −2 ·K −2 , and can deliver a record 13.8 °C on-body cooling effect with a high coefficient of performance (COP) at 3.91 under 7 °C temperature difference, which leads to a low power consumption of ∼ 38 W for the cooling of regular human body. Based on the f-TED, we further developed a personal thermal management system, which can keep body within comfort zone at different surrounding temperatures, also realize healthcare function for fever or sprained ankle. Compared with conventional thermoelectric devices, this f-TED can simultaneously achieve self-healability, recyclability, flexibility, large normalized power density, and high on-body cooling effect with low power consumption. Such f-TED could open up new opportunities to develop devices for wearable energy harvesting and personal thermal management.

Flexible perovskite solar cells (F-PSCs) have demonstrated remarkable potential for next-generation wearable platforms. Nonetheless, the reduction of open-circuit voltage (VOC) at the interface within F-PSCs poses a significant barrier to improving the photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE). Herein, we reported an effective “two birds with one stone” strategy by utilizing carbon dots (CDs) as a multifunctional treatment modulator to modify the SnO2 electron transport layer (ETL) and buried interface. On the one hand, CDs were explored to passivate trap states associated with Sn dangling bonds and oxygen vacancies on SnO2 surfaces through Lewis acid–base coordination, thereby enhancing the electron mobility of SnO2 films and facilitating charge extraction from perovskite layers. On the other hand, the functional groups (including carboxyl, fluorine, and amino) on CDs enable the formation of coordination and hydrogen bonding with PbI2, promoting the formation of high-quality perovskite films with reduced defect densities. The collective enhancements effectively mitigate trap-assisted charge recombination and interfacial energy loss, significantly reducing the device voltage deficit and enabling F-PSCs to attain a PCE of 22.97% with enhanced VOC from 1.06 to 1.18 V. Notably, CDs-incorporated devices demonstrate exceptional operational durability, maintaining 83% of initial PCE after 400 h of continuous illumination (AM 1.5G) in an air atmosphere and retaining 81% PCE following 4000 cyclic bending tests (6 mm radius). This methodology establishes a robust framework for simultaneously enhancing both the efficiency and stability in FAPbI3-based F-PSCs.

High- Q and temperature-stable ceramics are indispensable in microwave engineering. However, medium-permittivity ( ε r ∼ 60, named as K60) microwave dielectric ceramics that meet the above demands are yet to be synthesized. High- Q Ba 4 Sm 9.33 Ti 16.5 Al 2 O 54 (BSTA) and Ca 0.6 Sm 0.27 Ti 0.8 Al 0.27 O 3 (CSTA) ceramics have large resonant frequency temperature coefficients ( τ f ) with opposite signs. The composites of the two are expected to have good dielectric properties , but there will be obvious diffusion when they are compounded with each other by sintering after directly mixing the raw powder, which would lead to severe deterioration in dielectric properties. In this work, the undesired diffusion can be effectively avoided by stacking two or three ceramic layers together, which are achieved by two methods named adhesive bonding and spark-plasma-sintering (SPS) cofiring. The finite element method (FEM) analysis with COMSOL Multiphysics proposed in this work can precisely predict the microwave dielectric properties of layered ceramics, helping to determine the ratio of different layers to reach near-zero τ f . The adhesive-bonded layered ceramics exhibit excellent dielectric properties: ε r = 62.2, Q × f = 21,400 GHz, and τ f = –0.7 ppm/°C. The SPS-cofired layered ceramics can be fabricated in one time, partially solving the problem of sintering mismatch between different layers, together with superior properties of ε r = 59.8, Q × f = 19,780 GHz, and τ f = –0.6 ppm/°C. These layered ceramics could fill the gap of high- Q and temperature-stable K60 microwave dielectric ceramics. The layer-stacking process and related FEM simulations can be used to design more high- Q and temperature-stable microwave dielectric ceramics and devices.
