Wide-bandgap copper halide semiconductors hold significant potential for next-generation ultraviolet optoelectronics due to their remarkable photophysical properties. However, defects in polycrystalline films, such as point/interfacial defects and grain boundaries, create pathways for moisture and ion diffusion, thereby compromising device performance and stability. Herein, the capillary epitaxy growth of CsCu 2 I 3 single-crystal films (SCFs) is demonstrated with a bandgap of 3.68 eV on GaN, by leveraging capillary forces to guide the transport of the molten precursor and using lattice-matching substrates to achieve crystallographic alignments. This strategy suppresses random nucleation and produces CsCu 2 I 3 SCFs with high crystallinity (rocking curve FWHM = 0.286°). The critical role of lattice matching is further underscored by contrasting the polycrystalline CsCu 2 I 3 or Cs 3 Cu 2 I 5 films grown on lattice-mismatched substrates, as well as by the impressive open-circuit voltage of 1.08 V achieved in the CsCu 2 I 3 SCF/GaN heterojunction. The CsCu 2 I 3 SCF/GaN ultraviolet photodetectors demonstrate nW-level detection limit (≈2.81 nW) and self-powered operation, combining the 24 nm narrowband bandwidth with dual-mode (voltage/current) signal outputs for interference-resistant detection and communication. The work not only establishes the first route for the epitaxial growth of copper halide SCFs but also paves the way for the hetero-integration of perovskites onto mature semiconductor platforms for ultraviolet optoelectronics.

In this study, comprehensive and systematic nontargeted metabolomics analysis was performed with the metabolites of Zangju peel ( Citrus reticulata cv. Manau Gan, CRZP, which has been cultivated for over 400 years in Derong County, China.) at four different mature stages. A total of 1878 metabolites were identified, among which flavonoids were the most abundant (62.04 %), and identified 62 key differential metabolites significantly affected by maturity. Based on biological activity measurements, CRZP showed better antioxidant activity, lipase inhibition ability, inhibition of adipogenic differentiation in 3TT-L1 cells and promotion of lipid metabolism, with the biological activity of CRZP at different maturity stages being associated with key differential metabolite. Thus, CRZP is natural antioxidants and possess anti-obesity potential, and industrial production needs to consider the Maturity stage of its collection.

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has become a huge threaten to global health, which raise urgent demand of developing efficient therapeutic strategy. The aim of the present study is to dissect the chemical composition and the pharmacological mechanism of Qingfei Paidu Decoction (QFPD), a clinically used Chinese medicine for treating COVID-19 patients in China. Through comprehensive analysis by liquid chromatography coupled with high resolution mass spectrometry (MS), a total of 129 compounds of QFPD were putatively identified. We also constructed molecular networking of mass spectrometry data to classify these compounds into 14 main clusters, in which exhibited specific patterns of flavonoids (45 %), glycosides (15 %), carboxylic acids (10 %), and saponins (5 %). The target network model of QFPD, established by predicting and collecting the targets of identified compounds, indicated a pivotal role of Ma Xing Shi Gan Decoction (MXSG) in the therapeutic efficacy of QFPD. Supportively, through transcriptomic analysis of gene expression after MXSG administration in rat model of LPS-induced pneumonia, the thrombin and Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathway were suggested to be essential pathways for MXSG mediated anti-inflammatory effects. Besides, changes in content of major compounds in MXSG during decoction were found by the chemical analysis. We also validate that one major compound in MXSG, i.e. glycyrrhizic acid, inhibited TLR agonists induced IL-6 production in macrophage. In conclusion, the integration of in silico and experimental results indicated that the therapeutic effects of QFPD against COVID-19 may be attributed to the anti-inflammatory effects of MXSG, which supports the rationality of the compatibility of TCM.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) threatens elderly human health and still lacks effective treatment. Our previous work showed that LGZGD possessed a neuroprotective effect on the Aβ 25-35 -induced neurotoxicity in differentiated PC12 cells, indicating that LGZGD may be a potential drug for treatment of AD. However, its pharmacodynamic substances which show anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant stress activities are still unrevealed. This research aims to reveal the pharmacodynamic substances of LGZGD on Aβ 25-35 -induced PC12 cell model of AD based on a spectrum-effect relationship study by using HPLC-FT-ICR-MS method and multivariate statistical analysis. Firstly, the chemical composition spectra of different combinations of LGZGD were recorded by HPLC-FT-ICR MS. Subsequently, Aβ 25-35 -induced PC12 cell model of AD was established and pharmacodynamic experiments were conducted to evaluate their anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant activities, respectively. Finally, the potential pharmacodynamic substances were screened out through spectrum-effect relationship study accompanied by multivariate statistical analysis including bivariate correlation analysis (BCA), grey relational analysis (GRA), principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares regression analysis (PLSR). As a result, a total of 96 chemical consistents in different combinations of LGZGD were discovered. Among them, 7 components such as isoglabrolide, licorice saponin E2, licorice saponin N2 and licoisoflavanone were directly linked with the anti-inflammatory effects, and 14 constituents such as tumulosic acid, polyporenic acid C, dehydrotumulosic acid, dehydropachymic acid, and pachymic acid were directly correlated with the anti-oxidative stress activities. In conclusion, we combined the HPLC-FT-ICR-MS spectra with pharmacodynamic indicators to develop the spectrum-effect relationships of LGZGD for the first time, and successfully revealed its potential pharmacodynamic substances in the treatment of AD from the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant pathways in the cell model.

Introduction Zhoupigan ( Citrus reticulata cv. Manau Gan), also known as Zangju or Shitougan, is a distinctive Chinese citrus resource valued for both traditional medicinal uses and food flavoring, and is notably rich in essential oils (EOs). However, the chemical composition and bioactivity of Zhoupigan peel essential oil (ZJPEO) remain insufficiently understood, limiting its effective utilization. Methods In this study, ZJPEO was extracted by steam distillation (SD) and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) and analyzed using FTIR, E-nose, HS-GC-IMS and HS-SPME-GC-MS. And its antioxidant and antimicrobial activities were evaluated in vitro . Results FTIR and E-nose revealed clear compositional differences between steam-distilled essential oil (SDEO) and supercritical fluid-extracted essential oil (SFEO). HS-GC-IMS detected 63 VOCs and, based on VIP > 1, identified five marker compounds. HS-SPME-GC-MS identified 1,250 VOCs, showing terpenoids and esters as major contributors to aroma and bioactivity. KEGG enrichment highlighted sesquiterpene and triterpene biosynthesis as key pathways. Flavor wheel analysis indicated that SFEO had stronger sweet, green, and woody notes and exhibited potent antioxidant and antimicrobial activities associated with specific VOCs. Discussion Overall, this work supports optimizing ZJPEO extraction and promoting its value-added, sustainable utilization.
