Pyridoxine Y Agar Medium formula: /L
Glucose 40.0 g, L-asparagine 4.0 g
Ammonium sulfate 4.0 g, potassium dihydrogen phosphate 3.0 g
Magnesium sulfate 1.0 g, calcium chloride 0.49 g
DL-methionine 40 mg, DL-tryptophan 40 mg
DL-isoleucine 40 mg, DL-valine 40 mg
L-histidine hydrochloride 20 mg, riboflavin 20 mg
Biotin 8 mg, inositol 5 mg
Ferrous sulfate 500 µg, calcium pantothenate 400 µg
Nicotinic acid 400 µg, boric acid 200 µg
Thiamine hydrochloride 400 µg, ammonium molybdate 40 µg
Potassium iodide 200 µg, copper sulfate 90 µg
Manganese sulfate 80 µg, zinc sulfate 80 µg
Agar 12 g, pH 4.1 ± 0.05
Usage:
Weigh 6.5 g in 100 mL of purified water, heat with stirring and boil for 2–3 minutes until completely dissolved, dispense 10 mL per tube (stir well to ensure even distribution of insoluble matter), autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes, and prepare slants for use.
