This product is formulated with INT, ethanol, and other constituents, and has been sterilized by filtration. It is provided as a ready-to-use solution. INT (Iodonitrotetrazolium Violet) serves as a widely employed electron acceptor in dehydrogenase-based colorimetric assays. In applications including microbial respiratory activity assessment and mitochondrial succinate dehydrogenase analysis, INT is enzymatically reduced by metabolically active cells to form an insoluble purple formazan precipitate. The resulting color change can be monitored visually or quantified spectrophotometrically. This product is intended for research purposes exclusively and must not be utilized in clinical diagnostics or other non-research applications.
