FDA Hydrolysis Reaction serves as an excellent indicator of soil microbial activity, soil quality changes, and the transformation of organic matter within ecosystems, making it one of the crucial biological indicators in soil quality research. This product is designed for detecting soil samples. In this assay kit, FDA is a colorless compound that can be catalytically hydrolyzed by various soil enzymes in the medium. Following hydrolysis and subsequent dehydration, it produces the enzymatic end product fluorescein, which is stable and resistant to decomposition. Fluorescein exhibits a strong absorption peak at 490 nm. By measuring the absorbance changes at 490 nm, the activity of S-FDA hydrolase can be calculated.
