This product is a ready-to-use sterile buffer solution prepared by dissolving sodium chloride and peptone in deionized water, adjusted to pH 7.0, and sterilized by filtration through a 0.22 μm membrane. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic pressure of the system, while peptone provides an organic nitrogen source, reducing microbial cell surface damage and protecting cell viability. This buffer is primarily intended for microbial sample dilution, strain reconstitution, and cell suspension, and is also suitable for sample preparation and microbial limit testing. It is compatible with microbial isolation, plating, and recovery procedures.
