Trehalose-6-phosphate phosphatase catalyzes the conversion of trehalose-6-phosphate to trehalose with the concomitant release of phosphate. The amount of phosphate generated is then determined by the molybdenum‑antimony colorimetric method. The enzyme activity of trehalose-6-phosphate phosphatase can be characterized by monitoring the change in absorbance.
