The assay principle of this kit is based on the formation of a red complex between flavonoids and aluminum ions in an alkaline nitrite solution. This complex exhibits a maximum absorption peak at 510 nm. By measuring the absorbance at 510 nm, the total flavonoid content in the sample can be calculated.
