Bence-Jones protein in urine, also known as coagulation protein, is a light chain of immunoglobulin or its polymer. This kit utilizes the property that Bence-Jones protein forms a precipitate with p-toluenesulfonic acid under acidic conditions. The isoelectric point of most general proteins is below 5.0, while that of Bence-Jones protein is slightly higher. This method is primarily used for the detection of Bence-Jones protein in human or animal urine and is considered a relatively specific method for its determination. This product is intended for research purposes only and is not suitable for clinical diagnosis or other applications.
