You can also synthesize ketoacetal, by Houben-Hoesch reaction of diethoxyacetonitrile with 1,2,4-trimethoxybenzene.

Houben-Hoesch reaction of diethoxyacetonitrile with 1,2,4-trimethoxybenzene affords tris(2,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methane
