Fiber-shaped supercapacitors (FSCs) serve as optimal energy storage components in wearable platforms. However, traditional fiber materials suffer from poor interfacial cross-linking, disordered microstructures, insufficient active sites, and low electrical conductivity. To overcome these challenges, this research develops Zn-MoO₃/Ti₃C₂Tₓ hybrid fibers via wet-spinning technology employing glacial acetic acid as a coagulation bath, with MoO₃ quantum dots intercalated into Ti₃C₂Tₓ interlayers and Ti₃C₂Tₓ nanosheets cross-linked by Zn 2+ . The resulting hybrid fibers feature expanded interlayer spacing, a large ion-accessible surface area, abundant porous channels, exceptional electrical conductivity, and excellent mechanical properties, delivering an exceptional volumetric capacitance of 2078.2 F cm −3 at 2 A cm −3 with 75.0 % capacitance retention at 20 A cm −3 . Furthermore, the constructed FSCs achieve a substantial energy density of 55.6 mWh cm −3 at a power density of 400 mW cm −3 , with 94.7 % capacitance retention after 5000 cycles, and successfully power an electronic timer, demonstrating their potential for wearable applications.

Factor XIa (FXIa), a pivotal target in anticoagulant therapy, requires precise activity monitoring to assess coagulation status and bleeding risks. To address the limited sensitivity of conventional chromogenic methods, we developed a novel electrochemiluminescence (ECL) biosensor exploring the synergistic effects of MXene's superior conductivity and Prussian blue analogue's (PBA) large specific surface area. Transient absorption spectrometry was employed to determine the excited-state lifetime and to elucidate the functional role of MXene@PBA. Molecular docking and specificity constant analysis identified Mpr(mercaptopropionic acid)-TEARK-Fc(ferrocene) as an optimal peptide substrate. The MXene@PBA-enhanced biosensor quantifies FXIa-induced ECL signal changes via peptide cleavage, achieving a linear range of 1.0 × 10 −5 mIU/mL to 1 mIU/mL and an LOD of 3.7 × 10 −6 mIU/mL (S/N = 3) in human serum. Furthermore, the ECL biosensor demonstrated efficacy in FXIa inhibitor screening, firstly revealing salvianolic acid A and C as potent inhibitors (>60 % inhibition) and apigenin as a moderate inhibitor (~40 %). Molecular docking confirmed that these inhibitors competitively bind to FXIa's catalytic pocket (His57, Cys58, Ala190, Lys192, Ser195), overlapping with the substrate recognition site. This MXene@PBA-enhanced ECL biosensor establishes a robust strategy for both FXIa activity monitoring and therapeutic agent development.

Microwave transmission-infrared stealth compatible materials are critical for radomes and strategic vehicles, but existing solutions fail to balance performance well. MXene shows promise for dual-band applications, yet its continuous films suffer from high radar reflectivity and low transmittance. Herein, MXene-patterned flexible frequency selective surface (FSS) structures were fabricated via screen printing, with systematic control of the parameters of arrays to tailor electromagnetic properties, enabled by tailoring the equivalent inductor-capacitor circuit of the FSS to achieve impedance matching in the radar band. As gap width of arrays increases from 120 to 360 μm, radar transmittance reaches 78% (over 10⁴ higher than that of continuous MXene films) and the reflectivity is significantly reduced from 90% to 16%, while maintaining approximately 80% infrared reflectivity (8∼14 μm, corresponding to an emissivity of 0.2) is retained. This achieves efficient radar-infrared dual-band compatibility, with radar transmittance differing by only approximately 1.01 dB from that of MXene-free structures. The low-cost method provides a feasible pathway for high-performance regulation of dual-band devices, advancing multispectral functional materials and meeting demands in aerospace, stealth protection, and next-gen communications.

Rapid and accurate pathogen detection is critical for optimizing clinical decision-making within precision medicine frameworks, specifically for identifying Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) in wound infections. Most of conventional detection methods suffer from procedural complexity, protracted analysis times, and insufficient sensitivity, thereby constraining their clinical deployment. In this work, an optical fiber surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor enhanced by Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene was developed for detecting S. aureus , biofunctionalized with goat anti-human immunoglobulin G (IgG). The optimal thickness of Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene layer, determined to be approximately 94 nm based on maximizing figure of merit (FOM) of 17.88 RIU −1 , yielded high sensitivity and low full width at half maximum (FWHM). By monitoring SPR wavelength shifts in the transmission spectra, the sensor was employed to detect S. aureus with a low limit of detection (LOD) of 1.14 CFU/mL and a high sensitivity of 3.063 nm/log (CFU/mL). It exhibited excellent linearity across the concentration range of 10 2 –10 8 CFU/mL, alongside high stability and selectivity. Validation using S. aureus -infected wound tissue from diabetic murine models exhibited a precision exceeding 97 %. This technology represents a promising avenue for developing next-generation, high-performance biosensing platforms with significant translational potential in precision medicine diagnostics.

Background Diabetic wounds present substantial therapeutic challenges, primarily due to their heightened susceptibility to infection and impaired healing. Effective management requires both local pathogen control and enhanced tissue regeneration. To address these dual clinical needs, we developed an electroactive and photothermal silk fibroin/polylactic acid/Al–Ti₃C₂Tₓ MXene Janus nanofibre membrane using electrospinning and spraying techniques. Results By integrating electrospinning and electrospraying, we fabricated a Janus nanofibre dressing with distinct structural, hydrophilic, and electroactive properties on each side. Upon near-infrared light irradiation, the dressing demonstrated rapid and broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. At an intensity of 0.5 W/cm 2 , the resulting photothermal effect achieved rapid sterilisation within 5 min. When combined with external electrical stimulation, the dressing also facilitated fibroblast proliferation and migration. Moreover, this dual therapy upregulated EGF, VEGF, and TGF-β expressions, thereby significantly accelerating the healing of chronic diabetic wounds. These results underscore the strong therapeutic potential of this approach for effectively managing complex diabetic wounds. Conclusion This novel biomimetic Janus membrane effectively combines photothermal antibacterial action and electrical stimulation to support wound healing. The multifunctional electrospun dressing offers a promising framework for designing advanced wound care materials specifically for infected diabetic wounds.
