概述
溶于水，易溶于稀盐酸或氢氧化钠碱液；微溶于甲醇和乙醇。Kinetin is an adenine-type cytokinin phytohormone that is used in plant culture media such as Murashige & Skoog media in conjunction with auxins such as indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), 1-napthaleneacetic acid (NAA) or others to induce the fomation of callus and to regenerate plant tissues from callus.

Kinetin(6-Furfuryladenine) is a kind of cytokinin, a class of plant hormone that promotes cell division. Kinetin is often used in plant tissue culture for inducing formation of callus (in conjunction with auxin) and to regenerate shoot tissues from callus. At present, kinetin is one of the widely used anti-aging agents in numerous skin care cosmetics and cosmeceuticals, such as Valeant products kinerase.
