Leucine dehydrogenase (LeuDH, EC 1.4.1.9) is an NAD⁺-dependent oxidoreductase that reversibly catalyzes the conversion of L-leucine and branched-chain L-amino acids to their corresponding α-keto acids and analogs.
This kit utilizes leucine dehydrogenase (LeuDH) to catalyze the reaction between 2-ketobutyric acid and NADH to produce aminobutyric acid and NAD⁺. The activity of leucine dehydrogenase (LeuDH) is calculated by measuring the rate of decrease of NADH at 340 nm.
