It has a small band gap and forms an absorption spectrum in the red and infrared regions.Typical Octyl thiophene:Decyloxythiophene = 1:1 (molar ratio). Synthesis, electrochemical and photophysical properties of poly(3-octylthiophene-2,5-diyl-co-3-decyloxythiophene-2,5-diyl)s (POT-co-DOT) copolymer via condensation polymerization has been reported.
