The Rat Fibrinogen was purified from fresh frozen rat plasma using a combination of salt precipitations and column chromatography. The purified protein is homogeneous on SDS-PAGE and shows greater than 90% clottability in a thrombin based assay.
Fibrinogen MUST be thawed in a 37℃ water bath. Once thawed, do not chill. Remaining protein may be aliquoted into single use size and frozen at -80℃.
