Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by inducing IL-6 secretion of murine NIH/3T3 cells is less than 20 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 5.0 × 104 IU/mg.
Function Ligand for IL17RA and IL17RC (PubMed:17911633). The heterodimer formed by IL17A and IL17F is a ligand for the heterodimeric complex formed by IL17RA and IL17RC (PubMed:18684971). Involved in stimulating the production of other cytokines such as IL6, IL8 and CSF2, and in regulation of cartilage matrix turnover (PubMed:11591732, PubMed:11591768, PubMed:11574464). Also involved in stimulating the proliferation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells and T-cells and in inhibition of angiogenesis (PubMed:11591732). Plays a role in the induction of neutrophilia in the lungs and in the exacerbation of antigen-induced pulmonary allergic inflammation.

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in 6 mM HCl to a concentration of 0.1mg/ml. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at ≤ -20 °C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
Recombinant Human IL-17F Protein (rp147435)-Protein Bioactivity Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED₅₀ as determined by inducing IL-6 secretion of murine NIH/3T3 cells is less than 20 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity of > 5.0 × 10⁴ IU/mg.
Recombinant Human IL-17F Protein (rp147435)-SDS-PAGE Recombinant Human IL-17F Protein was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) and visualized by Coomassie® Blue staining. Showing a single band at 16.4 kDa.
